Song for Deadwood

Post by Claretitus » Sun Mar 19, 2023 5:42 pm

Whilst I think their “inbred” song is stupid/pathetic etc, I do think it’s time we had one of our own to counter it.

So……….. how about- YOU LOVED SHERGAR,
YOU LOVED RED RUM
YOU ALL BUM HORSES
YOU BLACKBURN ****.

Pathetic I know, but just a bit of retaliation.

Look, as a bunch of fans, we need to give em plenty back. As I said, yes, it’s pathetic, but are you just gonna stand there whilst they spew this bile? Or give em some back? 😉

Quite liked the simple

‘You’re going down and we’re going up’ at Blackpool

Change to ‘you’re staying down and we’re going up’

Went on for quite a while

A Burnley man was literally charged with being up to no good with a horse this week…. It was in the local paper, as the saying goes, ‘people in glass houses’

Wouldn’t we all. So you’re just gonna stand there n take it? Personally, I’m sick of it, time to give them something back. Anything. And not Jack Walker rolling on the carpet. Something silly, like they spout at us.

Or you could just not sink to their level and leave them to sound like imbeciles.

Exactly this, Blackburn, PNE, Blackpool etc sometimes all they can sing about is anti Burnley songs. No need to stoop to their cretinous level.

No Nay Never plus a lot of gloating songs will do me

Ok got you, some like to take the high ground, my philosophy is more an eye for an eye. So we just stand there, letting em take the ****? Not for me, but each to their own as I said. Never mind then, just let em get on with it, with no reposte.

The best reposte is beating them on the pitch.

I don't need to sing childish and pathetic songs about sexual relations with horses, dead former owners or being inbred to make myself feel better. I'd rather just watch my team score more goals than them. I'd be there to watch the game after all.

Most of our songs are anti Blackburn songs. It’s all we ever sing about but this season has been less I’ll admit.

Claret flag flying high
No nay never
**** on the bastards below
Go to ewood
1 man went to ****
Jack Walker

Even the recent jayrod song had to reference that lot down the road instead of simply singing “running past defenders”

Come to Ewood and **** on the Bastards Below are good, old school chants and should get more of an airing IMO.

A quick check on Google will show that while the offence took place in Hapton the ‘Gentleman’ in question is well known for this sort of stuff and is from Accrington. Looks like you fell for the misleading way the local media reported the story.

Can we not just sing songs that get behind our team and players??
I thought the repetitive chanting about Blackpool going down to be quite boring and monotonous tbh, and if it was intended to spur on our players it certainly didn't help.
