Pace on Kompany

but it says:

Burnley chairman Alan Pace has described manager Vincent Kompany as a 'very special person' and hailed his impact across the whole football club.

Kompany was appointed as Clarets boss last summer and has Burnley within touching distance of promotion back to the Premier League. Two more wins will be enough for the Turf Moor outfit to secure an immediate return to the top flight - with a Championship title theirs to lose.

Pace and ALK have been on board at Burnley since December 2020. It is fair to say that the American reflects on the appointment of Kompany with great satisfaction - and not just because of results on the pitch. The ex-Manchester City man has taken a keen interest in women's football at Burnley - allowing all coaching staff to observe his own sessions with the men's first team.

"He has a tremendous amount of humility, with an unbelievable work ethic and an amazing vision and idea of what he sees of being the right way to do stuff," Pace told the Press Association. "And being able to actually action on it, then the ability to communicate that and bring people together around that one vision. He’s second to none. The atmosphere within the club has changed dramatically.

"We’ve always said that we were one club for all but now you’re seeing people act like it. He’s been a true advocate for making sure his knowledge is getting disseminated more broadly to all parts across the club, and he’s made it a very, very, welcoming environment. I absolutely believe that any player that wanted help, advice, pointers, can get it at any moment with him. I’ve seen nothing but a willingness and a complete openness to help at every level for every type of individual. He’s a very special person.”

Almost sounds like a thinly veiled dig at our ex manager in part there too.

We are very lucky to have him......I bet Pace has to pinch himself every morning.
He's better than anyone could have hoped for. UTC.

Have you seen what Craig Bellamy says about Sean Dyche?

Basically, he said we owe him a debt of gratitude.

Without Dyche we could have easily done a Bolton or worse. I moved to America in 2008 and never thought I would ever see Clarets in PL in my lifetime. How wrong I was. Thanks Sean. Let’s what VK can do next season in the PL
