Absolutely fuming I've missed our on this one, I've been watching Burnley for a 100 years and have bought a pie, at every game. Not buying one on Friday, that will show em.
I suspect you are telling fibs, Turf Moor did not start selling pies till 1931.

I’m aware it’s not a bubble match. The club stated if we wish to travel by coach then the coach ticket must be purchased at the time of purchasing a match ticket. I didn’t see the option to buy a coach ticket.

We should do the claret and blue balloons again but don't ask them this time. If I remember right they refused on safety grounds last time and we ended up blowing them up and releasing them at Sheff Utd. That would be funny, balloons all over the place  .

Do those unsuccessful in the ballot now support the notion of BOYCOTTING the game?

Give them zero money

Well fairs fair, lets completely alinate our young new fanbase in favour of the old ones and cause the clubs fanbase to burn out and become non existent when the older fans beging to pass away or become unable to attend anymore, genuinely shocking that anyone thinks this is the right way. A rolling system is periodically and unequivocally the best way of doing a loyalty system.
You should probably read the thread, I'm the only one suggesting a properly fair system.

This should be information given out at the time of purchase, so I think someone is pulling your leg

The coach travel option was just under the ticket selection. If you go back on you may still be able to add the coach ticket - it's still an option for me but, as I'm not booking it for myself, I'm unsure if it will still work if you already have your ticket. Give it a try!

It is long past the hour that those with umpteen thousand points and get a sniff every game feel the utter deflation and misery the rest of us have to experience. Now you know how the rest of us feel.

I Brook no “haven’t missed a game so I deserve it more arguments”. What do you think the rest of us would be doing if given a chance?

Moving forwards, the ballot methodology is a much fairer system. I hope they stick with it.

I said exactly the same, surely if this was the case then BFC should only allocate tickets to the same category as the season ticket.
Got told Police will conduct ID checks upon entry 🤔

Why would police be looking at tickets other than a 40 year old trying to get in with a child's ticket

Are the general tickets top or bottom tier? I’d expect bottom to be the 2000 then the 250 hospitality in the top?

Was unsuccessful so not sure where the tickets are for the lucky ones who got them.

I have no idea I'd of thought the police would be too busy on the night keeping the peace, tensions will already be high but this has come direct from the club staff. I can't see it myself tho can't see the police caring who enters with what ticket as long as the night passes trouble free, stopping face entering could then cause them an issue

I was sat on a train next to a United fan a few weeks ago. He told me that away tickets for United games are all collected at the away ground with ID so that nobody can pass them on to friends and family. No ID, no ticket. No collection, no points/credit for that game, even if you purchased and paid.

I’m not sure how the loyalty system should work, but I do agree if you are going to ballots then you should check it’s the rightful winners of those ballots taking the tickets and attending the game.

Need ID on match day too at the turnstiles or you'll be refused entry.
Could be a half empty away end 😂
Highly doubt they will be printing names on the tickets... Has that ever been done in the past?
Comms from the club says "photo ID in the name of the person making the booking will be required."
I read that as the person who booked the tickets, not each ticket? I.e. I booked mine and my dad's, so I can collect both tickets under my booking number.

Nothing to do with the police....they've more to bother about than someone passing a ticket on to a family member,or friend

There is approximately 0 chance either club are gonna go to the effort of printing 2000 individual names on tickets.

My heart goes out to all the people who think they are entitled to tickets because they have been able to attend more away games. Because they have the luxury of having more time on their hands at weekends. Because they were born earlier than other people. Because they anointed themselves as "proper" fans because they were around during the crap times. Because they run sites. Because they have bigger voices than others. My heart bleeds for you. It really does.

Accy Stanley play Bolton at the Breezeblock on the same night! If we're not allowed a proper allocation in one shith0le ground, I'm sure Accrington Stanley won't mind a few extra away support in their hour of need! Just saying. That would be brilliant, toss up between the local pub and a real match

I really doubt it is the police who are doing that job. It will be staff from United.
Using a ticket that isn‘t yours is not a police matter. That is why police are never on turnstiles, it is down to the clubs stewards. It is not the job of the police to be ticket checkers.

I got an email last Thursday to say successful ballot application. Nothing more from the club. After reading some of the messages above, I decided to log and and try and buy tickets. All purchased successfully. Thanks for the email BFC saying had been selected and could buy tickets. There was 7 available seats left when I was buying them.

With the way they've acted I could see them paying extra for it if 4/500 fans didn't get in that's even less of us in the away end

I got a ticket by default yesterday but if I'd of wanted tickets I'd need two, so if you have a spare I'd buy it from you plus a donation to a charity of your choice, I understand if you have a spare there would be a massive queue for it but please keep me in mind

All BS, if the police are doing id ticket checks it'd be for the home end's to make sure Burnley fan's aren't getting in, why would they check Burnley fan's going in the Burnley end

Who Burnley sell the tickets to is their decision alone. It's not a police matter if they decide on a ballot, or 14,000 points, or only people living in Burnley can have a ticket. There are no laws being broken if I give my ticket to someone else, plus names won't be on tickets, otherwise id would be required by everyone attending

Blackburn aren't bothered who goes as long as the ticket has been paid for

Not your post, the whole checking names on the turnstiles.
Surely the club would have stated it before releasing tickets. At the minute its what one person was apparently told by the ticket office.

Not your post, the whole checking names on the turnstiles.
Surely the club would have stated it before releasing tickets. At the minute its what one person was apparently told by the ticket office.
Ok

But I didn't get an email yesterday. That was my point
I was successful but never received the email. The only email I received was to confirm my purchase.

All BS, if the police are doing id ticket checks it'd be for the home end's to make sure Burnley fan's aren't getting in, why would they check Burnley fan's going in the Burnley end
Listen I'm only telling you what I was told at the ticket office, I agree with you I can't see it happening otherwise BFC would ask for it when the tickets were sold.
Police will surely be too busy doing other things than ticking names off a 2k list.
I can't see it I'm just passing on what they've said down there to me and probably many others between now and Friday

"I was there" thread's are pretty tedious in the grand scheme of things.
