A lot of your lot seem to think you should be able to tell us how many of your fans you’re going to have inside our ground.

And I’m not fishing it’s clearly something done with the benefit of the team in mind. As I said the fact that we’ve ever allowed you to bring an army of 7/8000 is ludicrous.

So the idea of just doing the decent thing and being just a bit sporting doesn’t sit well with you.

When you beat us 5-0 and in the cup replay with sizeable followings you were all in Dreamland and wanted as many Dingles as possible to laugh at with your superiority now the shoes on the other foot your running scared.I hope you blow your play off chances before we play you and only a mere 6000 turn up for your biggest game of the season

Decent and sporting you say. It wasn’t very decent and sporting when Ashley Barnes took it upon himself to throw our keeper to the ground after scoring at your place but I remember that sitting quite well with Burnley fans.
At the end of the day we’ve stood up for once and said no you’re not having as many fans in our ground as you want no matter what we’re missing out on financially. They’ve shown backbone and stood by what’s right for the team. And it’s about damn time.

Re: Rovers away tickets
Like I have said several times, you do realise you will get an even smaller allocation the next time you visit us?
This will become tit for tat, a ridiculous situation that has taken away a lot of the attraction of the Old Firm games. If we were given 3,100 then that would be seen as frustrating but entirely fair, this just smacks of being spiteful.
Re: Rovers away tickets
Times change what’s that got to do with the price of fish. I doubt Burnley would ever give us 8000 if you couldPtangyangkipperbang wrote: ↑Wed Mar 22, 2023 8:23 pmWhen you beat us 5-0 and in the cup replay with sizeable followings you were all in Dreamland and wanted as many Dingles as possible to laugh at with your superiority now the shoes on the other foot your running scared.I hope you blow your play off chances before we play you and only a mere 6000 turn up for your biggest game of the season

It won’t be easy to get tickets for the home ends and pubs will probably only be open to home fans and close while the match is on and afterwards for a bit as they were in Burnley on the day of the game

Re: Rovers away tickets
The only reason Rovers can give us 7,000/8,000 is that they have a huge ground they never fill
If they want to give us 2,000 it doesn't change anything
I'm taking the fact that they only want to give us 2,000 as a massive compliment to both our team and our fan base, which I'm sure they don't realise they have done
It can't be easy for them, they spent all summer cracking one off over the stories of our financial implosion, and it turns out that not only is that not true, but we've p****d the league and wiped them out as convincingly as they did at Ewood when they won 5-0
Just let them do this, its is literally all they can do to us at the moment

No you don't but you know we (the fans) will push to reduce your allocation as much as possible for the next time you visit us, it does nobody any favours. Hopefully it's nineteen years until we have to cross that bridge.
It shows how far you have fallen that the only way to get one over on us is this, rather than having Matt Jansen and Marcus Bent running riot.

Re: Rovers away tickets
You can buy 5 home tickets for £99 with no buying history the Burnley game us part if the five
Pub open to home fan's ???? How will that be policed not all Burnley fan's live in Burnley like wise with your lot
Re: Rovers away tickets
Tickets in the home end won’t come easy and the pubs will most likely only be open to home fans as well as shutting during the game and for a bit after it as happened at your place.
As for ticketless fans the police said they would be able to handle a 7000 away support so I’m sure they’ll have no issue dealing with 2000 fans plus a few hundred nobheads who turn up without tickets should that be the case.
Re: Rovers away tickets
At your place you had to show a home ticket to gain entrance to a pub. That will most likely happen again.AGENT_CLARET wrote: ↑Wed Mar 22, 2023 8:39 pmYou can buy 5 home tickets for £99 with no buying history the Burnley game us part if the five

The local pubs around the ground were definitely operating that rule, Burnley even put a notice out about it before the game. If spoons was different fair enough

Yep, that's correct and many pubs still allowed regulars in during that hour. Most pubs only shut for around half an hour as police were happy to get people off the streets.AGENT_CLARET wrote: ↑Wed Mar 22, 2023 8:43 pmNo you didn't, I was in spoons at 9am and didn't need to prove anything to gain entrance, some pubs were closed for an hr after then reopened
Re: Rovers away tickets
Yes but away fans weren’t allowed in. Hence I’m saying that away fans won’t be allowed into pubs around Ewood.

I mean I you wanna try get into a pub around Ewood on the day fair enough but I think you’ll struggle and I doubt there’s going to be hordes of Burnley fans storming the doors and pulling their own pints like some of your lot seem to be imagining happening.
Re: Rovers away tickets
All I know is we were told on the day that a home match ticket was going to be needed to get into Burnley pubs, was this actually not the case?

Re: Rovers away tickets
Not in the pubs I went in.
Just a scare story to put off fans drinking in Burnley.
I'm sure many Burnley fans would drink elsewhere before arriving in Blackburn anyway.
Just say a fight starts in a pub, who gets blamed, both parties probably but the away fan would be seen as going in there for one reason only.

Where do we start?
Martin Ohlsson took a dive took a dive?
How about the defender who dragged Danny Ings down on the Turf when he was clean through?
Or maybe Dunnys offside goal?
Who on Earth do you think you are? The great and the good? Little club, I hope we win as easy as we did at the Turf, and all those Clarets there and everywhere enjoy every second of it.
Good news, fully fit squad expected after the international break.
Enjoy existing in our shadow.

Think we normally get around 4-5 Thousand I remember once getting the full whack for an FA cup game I think. I don’t think anyone realistically thought we would get the full allocation but I do think 10% would have been fare in the current situation.Accyblue wrote: ↑Wed Mar 22, 2023 7:55 pmA lot of Burnley fans acting like we owe you something here. There are some Burnley fans getting wound up about this I guess most would be accepting as they would have expected similar. Anyway just to counter your pint there are plenty of rovers fans telling us we should have moved Season ticket holders out of the Cricket field stand to accommodate more of your fans. Which would have been totally impractical and quite most likely unworkable. I know that I would not be happy if your board had moved your season ticket holders from there seats to accommodate more of us.
Anyway what we got is what we got I do think it is petty and short sited but as you mentioned it is purely up to your Club what you give us.

Well we could only go off what we were told on the day. I still think it’s unlikely there’ll be an army of Burnley fans in every pub around Ewood. Burnley fans come up with these ideas of what’s going to happen everytime we play. I was told I was going to be somehow identified as a rovers and filled in by Burnley fans at your place if I made my own way there but I walked under the culvert and through part of the town centre before and after the game and it was fine.

It's not funny cos of how many people it affects, but the fact that both the decision itself and the Rovers' fans reaction to it haven't for a second considered that Rovers might win is quite something.

Re: Rovers away tickets
There are some, I'd say many that have done exactly that but quite a few years ago before work and family became more of a priority.
If you did it in the past few years is that superior to doing it in the 90's and 00's?
Remember those who've had season tickets for years and years don't have their loyalty totalled beyond the mid 2000's when the points system started.
Re: Rovers away tickets
