It won’t be easy to get tickets for the home ends and pubs will probably only be open to home fans and close while the match is on and afterwards for a bit as they were in Burnley on the day of the game
Same as Man City in 2000.... just buy them off Rovers season ticket holders. They'll welcome a few quid by then.

All these hoards of Burnley fans heading over to drink in all the pubs in Blackburn might be in for a shock. There's not exactly many left to choose from.

Good luck dande I’ll think of you as I’m being swept away by the ocean of terminator like Burnley fans that are descending onto the Blackburn end turnstiles on the night of the game

To be fair Jarrow I understood completely why we got the allocation we did and bore no grudge. I got a ticket anyway. There’s some sore nerves on here tonight so not particularly bothered about the grief I’m getting either. I just wanted to put a rovers fans view across on here for the sake of it.
Just laugh it off most of it is biased tribalistic nonsense, I personally like getting opposition opinions and think this bald is poorer because we don’t get a lot of them.

I don't think you've had much grief, in fact you've had less grief than the regulars get on here.

No issues with the allocation it's your ground and no rules have been broken.

I think all this will do though is motivate Kompany and the lads even more...could backfire massively on you..

To be fair, from the little bits I saw on TV on Sunday, looked liked your fans were pretty good at Crying.

Blackburn Rovers in the last 12 months:

Won Championship in Jan 2022❌
Won Championship in Aug 2022❌
Going to Wembley with 10 mins left❌

The honours keep coming ✅

Exactly and for the sake of about an extra thousand tickets.

Would I swap a full Darwen End with an average set of players for a 2,000 allocation with our current squad?

Not a chance.

We'll see. I certainly think there will be red cards in this game and will be sticking a £10 on it.

I think some of your younger players will be so fired up after the game at the Turf some heads might go..

I just want a bit more fight to be honest, it’s gonna be a very big ask to get anything. But I do think we’re better placed for the match now than we were before.

It's a Burnley board, we can do what we like.... isn't that the argument you're putting forward about the ground?

Anyway, soon be in a position where there's only 30 tickets left.... according to Nathan anyway

Another point worth remembering is that our last 2 league wins at Ewood we've not played well at all and the large away followings haven't made much difference.

There are some, I'd say many that have done exactly that but quite a few years ago before work and family became more of a priority.

If you did it in the past few years is that superior to doing it in the 90's and 00's?

Remember those who've had season tickets for years and years don't have their loyalty totalled beyond the mid 2000's when the points system started.
nothing personal but just as example, my daughter has a season ticket and missed one away game all season, she’s 15. iv missed 1 league 2 cup. to me that’s loyalty and should be priority. tbe system is all wrong imo

depends what’s you call loyalty, having a season ticket for 30 years only going a few local away days or going to millwall midweek taking 2 days off work
One of these things benefits the club financially. The other doesn't.

I'm definitely expecting a tough game at Ewood. You seem in pretty good form, I've been quite impressed with Rovers in the odd time I've seen you recently. Plus you're bound to have a point to prove after the game at the Turf. Add in the fact that we may have already clinched the title by then, and you'll be looking to secure a play off place, home advantage, can see it being a very close game

The two things I can say about us is that we seem to want it more in games than we did earlier in the season and we seem to have gotten fitter. A few have demonstrated that they have a real engine lately.

My point being, if she goes to Uni or gets other priorities (family etc) will she look back on 2022/23 as the season she went everywhere following her team and should have priority over 'newer' fans in say five or so years time?

When does that 'season' wear off or become diluted?

I'm not picking an argument or questioning your support for the club, I'm saying that what you are doing now if what many others did previously.

As you or your daughter's circumstances change, then where does loyalty become 'lapsed' in the eyes of fans chasing the tickets from small allocations?

This is something that most fans of other clubs won't pick up on until it is aired live on Sky TV across the nation. I can imagine the reaction will mainly be how stupid B@stards look restricting our allocation whilst they can't even sell their own tickets.

Yes I’m sure the nation will be united in outrage and mockery in equal measures and that absolutely nobody will in reality have a conversation like

“Not many Burnley fans there..”

“Yeah Blackburn only gave them 2000 they weren’t happy apparently”

“Ah right”

“Yeah Blackburn only gave them 2000 they weren’t happy apparently”

“Ah right”
What’s the only thing sadder in the world than your pathetic, tinpot club doing all they can to minimise the embarrassment of the champions coming to town and having the first party in your shitty stadium since you won the third division five years ago? It’s hard to think of anything, but you spending all night on a rival fans’ forum posting oh-so-pithy remarks about it comes close.

Didn't mention anything about 'outrage'. Just that you'll look stupid and tinpot because like I said, you have trouble selling your own tickets.

Came on to have a genuine conversation about the situation to be fair, I’ve had a few decent exchanges about other things on here with Burnley fans in the past and I never mind chatting to Burnley fans it’s interesting.

But there’s some touchy souls on here tonight clearly. Some of the replies to me jaysus, once people started asking me “who do you think you are” and putting “mwah mwah” in replies I had to hang around for the weirdness of it, absolute genius 😂

35 posts on this site and 30 of those on this thread 🤣 sort of belies your "few decent exchanges with Burnley fans in the past on here" 😉

Had a message here and there that Burnley fans have replied to yeah. Never said I was a veteran Bosscat fella. Clearly wasn’t experienced enough on the board to anticipate some of these fruit loops that have reacted particularly badly to me tonight anyway.

But why lie about being on here for ages "and regularly having exchanges with Burnley fans" when its been just the 5 until tonight ... sort of shot yourself in the foot sonny didn't you ... surely you would realise folk can see what you have posted in the past since you joined this site on Sat Oct 29, 2022 at 12:36 pm 😉

When did I say regularly?

All I was trying to get across is that I came on here to have a genuine conversation and had posted on here before.

Don’t know what you think you’ve caught me out on here fella 😂

Not happy with the decision, however Rovers are more than entitled to give us such a small allocation and to be honest if the boot was on the other foot then as a supporter I'd probably welcome it.

Genuine conversation ?.......I'm more than happy to have a genuine conversation.

Let's hear some guidelines ?.......How far do you go back......2014 when we won at Ewood with goals from Shackell and Ings ?........or perhaps 1960 when your man Douglas scored the most disputed penalty of all time ?.......When is it ?
