Rovers away tickets
Re: Rovers away tickets
Is it that much different to when we gave Lincoln the bare minimum in the cup? Just for the sake of keeping about 100 Burnley fans in the corner. Most people backed that decision I seem to recall.

Re: Rovers away tickets
I've been thinking about this and the more I dwell on it, the more pathetic Bastards look.
How embarrassing, to openly admit that you are frightened the away fans will out sing the home.
Putting myself in their shoes it's probably funny to **** Burnley fans off, but then the acknowledgement that the rest of football knows you are running scared would be really, really embarrassing.

You can’t really say that your loyalty points are worth more than someone else’s.
I’ve been to more away games this season purely because it’s been a pleasure to travel
And watch us play this kind of football.
it’s those who gone up and down the country in the seasons where we relegated or went months without ever winning away

Said it many times before, the fairest system is priority for current season ticket holders, then general sale. No need for points, the accumulation of which is largely weighted to when you were born. We're all fans, we're all loyal.

Re: Rovers away tickets
Its about right though
Look, I get that you don't want 7,000 Burnley fans telling you how s**t you are and that we are champions
But guess what, it doesn't change anything, we are still going to be champions
Even if we lose, we are still going to be champions
If you want to pretend that this is about "we've need to give the boys every chance they can get" then crack on, but its bulls**t
Just like having a huge ground when you have a similar size fan base to us is bulls**t
I suppose the only good thing about your fan base these days is that they have realised that the Venkys actually keep you afloat

Think I’m bowing out lads I’ve decided not to spend another day on this. Cheers to all that have had an actual conversation, and cheers to all who’ve got really angry and gone on weird rants it’s been well, interesting to say the least.
Enjoy your tinned food count or whatever the **** it is you lot do on here these days and best of luck getting a ticket. I’ll be sure to heed the warnings and keep my head down in Blackburn that day just incase I meet the ticketless boogeyman
It’s been emotional

Re: Rovers away tickets
I have been going on the Turf for nearly 60 years and been a season ticket holder since the late 90s when you couldn’t just walk up any more. I don’t attend many away games any more, the only one I’ve attended this season was last week at City because I was really hoping we might cause an upset and wanted to be there. I often buy additional tickets for home matches so other family members can attend and I think it’s fair that the high number of loyalty points I have accumulated enable me to get these as soon as they go on sale. However I think that priority for away tickets should go to supporters who attend the most away games (I.e. away loyalty). So split loyalty between home and away.

What a shrinking violet you are, bloody Hell. You’ve come to a Burnley messageboard after your club has just acted silly beggars with the allocation and acted Billy big ******** about the situation, and a few people pepper you with some banter and you’re crying like you’re still at Bramall Lane.

Spot on, I know a lad that hasn't been away for ten year's but got a ticket for Blackpool because he's got loyalty points for having a season ticket, there was a lot of fan's that go away week in week out and missed out, the one's that travel away most should have priority first maybe taking a rolling points total over the previous 2 or 3 season'sClaretmisterg wrote: ↑Thu Mar 23, 2023 9:58 amI have been going on the Turf for nearly 60 years and been a season ticket holder since the late 90s when you couldn’t just walk up any more. I don't really get all the outrage here. It's annoying but if the shoe were on the other foot Burnley fans would be pushing for exactly the same and outraged if we gave a huge allocation.

When entering the ballot do you submit all numebrs you wish to buy tickets for at this point, or is it just an individual entry then if you’re successful you can then submit up to 4 6000+ clarets numbers?

Re: Rovers away tickets
I completely disagree with that
Most of my life you have been a lot better than we have been, and we acknowledged that
Now?
You don't see any of you lot on here or on social media until we lose
The 24 hours between us losing to City 6-0 and you losing to Sheff Utd 3-2 was an absolute case in point
You had a realistic chance to get to Wembley because of the draw, and you blew it
All we could hope for was City not being City
I'm more than happy to see lads around here support you, much prefer it to the usual City/Liverpool/United ******** you see, but you've never dealt well with the sea change in East Lancs
Its time you lot realised that this is now just a normal rivalry, and just enjoy it, rather than pretending its a phase and Rovers will be back to being what they were
We know we never will be, and its time you lot did the same

Re: Rovers away tickets
Very much better than us when you were growing up ?
At your age then you should know much better than to come on another teams messageboard winding them up. It’s Thursday - is that not pension day ?
Everybody knows why you were better back in the day. You bought the league. It’s just factual. Pretty much any team that did what you did won the league - Chelsea, City. Why else other than money would the likes of Daglish, Shearer and all the rest join a team like Blackburn and living with driving to that sh-ithole every day if it wasn’t for money. As soon as the money stopped they left as quickly as the came.
You had your 15 minutes…..and since then you’ve had 3 decades of mediocrity and looks like you’ll be having a few more decades to come.
You’ll be lucky to make the play offs - and if you do the inevitable failure in the semi final will be followed by losing your best players….again…….then your manager….
again……and then 16 or 17th place in the championship….again

Some really odd responses to this guy posting he didn’t actually say anything that crazy just a biased Blackburn view just as most of us hold a biased Burnley view.
If as some of you have stated he came on to wind us up why in heavens name, if you thought that, would you respond in that fashion and give him what he wanted. It is better to debate sensibly and agree to disagree at the end rather than some of the absolute embarrassing tripe that has been spouted on this thread over the last day or so.
Best of luck in getting tickets for those of you that qualify and put yourself forward for the ballot

Re: Rovers away tickets
I don’t think Accyblue has said anything out of the ordinary - It’s his opinion on why we have a reduced allocation. I don’t agree with it and I don’t understand the logic either…
I can’t see how this will help them win the game? They haven’t reduced any other teams away allocation for the run in – Norwich, Hull, Coventry or Luton. Ok, Burnley will have less fans, but it’s not like all those empty seats will be taken up by their own fans to create more noise or a better atmosphere to back their players.
Go on their ticket website and have a look for yourselves… There are thousands of empty seats all over the ground and there’s still an upper tier in the opposite end to us completely shut. They can’t even give tickets away.
If anything, all they have done here is make their own club look petty, reducing a usual allocation of 7500 for every other club and to 2000 in front of the Sky cameras, there will be thousands of empty seats, they’ve ****** off the Burnley fans who are now looking for tickets in the home end which will only cause trouble. The reality is they’re still going to be playing the best team in the league on 25th April and just about done Vincent Kompany’s teamtalk for him. Amazing really.

Apparently Preston & Blackpool are involved in a similar situation. Preston were unhappy with their allocation at Bloomfield road, so are giving Blackpool the minimum.

Re: Rovers away tickets
Blackpool started that by reducing Preston's allocation to 2000 so Preston returned the action and allow season ticket holder to move into the kop. Blackpool fans thought it was highly amusing when they reduced Preston numbers but then got all upset when Preston did back.
Re: Rovers away tickets
Seems crazy in times of austerity among EFL clubs that Blackburn would only sell us 2000 tickets when they could easily sell us another 5000. Its not as if they'd sell 5000 these to their own fans based on their home gates this season, thus losing a potential £30 x 5000 = £150,000 in ticket revenue.
