Maybe upping the points required might be considered fair, as they should have done for Luton.

Re: Rovers away tickets
Maybe because the people with 8/9 won’t want to go? Ludicrous system, but it’s up to the club
Re: Rovers away tickets
I'd be all for a boycott for this game to make a complete farce of the game on sky sports.
Unfortunately the only way it will work is with the clubs cooperation by refusing to sell the tickets otherwise you'll always get some fans that will take advantage and buy a ticket.
Put it on live in the fanzone and on the turf and create a great party atmosphere with all the money going back in to our club!!

Liverpool have appealed to the PL because City have lowered their allocation, I wonder if there us scope for us to do similar with the EFL

If we boycott it there will be nobody on, after all the liars in blue n white are already boycotting and not going back on until the Venkys have gone.
Or is that just when they are bottom half of the championship the boycott exists ?
Re: Rovers away tickets
Not saying I agree with the ballot at all, but once that decision is made everybody entering the ballot should have the same chance, no matter how many points you haveClaretTony wrote: ↑Wed Mar 22, 2023 3:45 pmMaybe upping the points required might be considered fair, as they should have done for Luton.
Re: Rovers away tickets
I'll be going in the home end then if I can't get an away ticket. Only option the clubs and police have left me

We could have probably sold their full ground for this one so getting 2,000, whether it’s ballot or most points method, you’re still going to upset a lot of people either way.

Re: Rovers away tickets
Very short sighted, we will have to give the minimum amount as per league rules but this is the situation there is with the Old Firm these days.
The shoe may be on the other foot in the future and I'm sure our fans will have very long memories and will not allow anything but the minimum allocation necessary.

What, like arbitrarily introducing a ballot system for one game?RVclaret wrote: ↑Wed Mar 22, 2023 3:38 pmFair play to the club with the ballot process seems like the best way to go about it. Can’t go arbitrarily changing to 10000 points for one game.
It’s very petty from Blackburn Rovers and their fans but that doesn’t surprise me. Tinpot mentality. Even sweeter when we win I guess.

If there is someone or a group of fans who haven't missed an away game (excluding Covid) in x number of years then they'll be a serious backlash on here if they miss out. I can't see them saying, that was fair and I don't mind one bit.

Going in the home end for a game in which we will have already won the league and we've shown them up to be a bunch of classless wankers with their ticket allocation is a bit self defeating I feel

Did you expect anything more from that total joke of a football club? Hopefully the club remembers this when they’re no doubt rattling the buckets when the Venky’s turn the tap off.
Re: Rovers away tickets
How do we apply for the ballot? Can't see anything in the info release!

Seems absolutely brainless to have a ballot and not just use the loyalty points system properly. Not that I would be going either way mind

With each passing year, having 6000 points means less and less.

We have arbitrarily changed the method of sales for one game.
Re: Rovers away tickets
No individual Burnley home tickets available on Bastards ticket site.
However, they're selling a "back the boys for the final 5" ticket bundle which includes our game for £99 adults, £29 seniors, £49 young adults, £29 U18's & £12 U12's.
Keep one for 25th April and throw the other 4 in the bin.

Exactly. And managed to even confuse that with a BFC -Hybrid version. Ballot and points.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Wed Mar 22, 2023 4:07 pmWe have arbitrarily changed the method of sales for one game.

Not sure why they've given ticket prices for u12's, as they won't have 6k points!

Re: Rovers away tickets
Apologies, have I got this right that the hospitality tickets are £204 each? And you'd have to leave straight after the game?
Re: Rovers away tickets
How is the ballot going to work in practice. A lot of people will only want to go if their partner/friend gets a ticket too. Will the ballot take account of friends and family who have 6.000 points??
Re: Rovers away tickets
And as far as I can see, no info as to how to actually apply for the ballot!Transpennine wrote: ↑Wed Mar 22, 2023 4:10 pmExactly. And managed to even confuse that with a BFC -Hybrid version. Ballot and points.
Bizarre.
Re: Rovers away tickets
They should have as much chance of missing out as someone with 6k points.....that's the decision the club have made and nobody should get preferential treatment full stop.
Re: Rovers away tickets
You can ask for up to 4 tickets as long as the 4 have 6000 points

Re: Rovers away tickets
As you well know I understand that, but the idea of a loyalty points system is so they can set the required points by the size of the allocation. Otherwise it's a completely useless system.

From what I read you can apply for 4 in a single ballot as long as all have 6000+ points

Shouldn't the club have set the points total higher for this particular game though? I agree, if they set it at 6k, then everyone should have an equal chance but I'm sure they could have used the "loyalty" system better for this anomaly of a game.

That's how I've read it. You can order up to four and you will either be successful or unsuccessful for all four.

Re: Rovers away tickets
So if someone enters the ballot with my number as part of a group of 4, do you think this would count as my ballot entry, or would I have to/could I enter again again? As clear as mud from the club.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Wed Mar 22, 2023 4:20 pmThat's how I've read it. You can order up to four and you will either be successful or unsuccessful for all four.

Would you not support a boycott CT?
Could this site not put it forward to Pace and the club to not sell tickets?
