Just had a look at their forum, it's absolutely hilarious. The amount of clueless fans is astounding. I thought this forum was bad

One of them genuinely went on a rant about Alan Pace and how it will 'all come crumbling down', with no irony at all to their current ownership predicament

I can't wait for the Venkys to cut their losses and leave.

It is hilarious that forum, but then aren’t all forums to an extent blinded by a tinted view of their own team at the expense of others.

The funny part for me is the delusion that if they give us 2000 tickets that somehow they will find supporters to fill the other half of the lower tier and the upper tier above us.

They got 14000 home fans v Reading, tickets cost a £10.

They are charging £15 for the Hull game and £20 for the Norwich game.

It’s called Deadwood for a reason, top 6 all season and the ground is always half empty.

Season ticket sales fuel attendances, it's very difficult to consistently get thousands of supporters to turn up, even with offers. One off games yes but not consistently.

I'm sure if Blackburn won every match between now and the game against us they'll get a much bigger crowd but just like we found in 2009 and 2014, results on the pitch don't necessarily relate to massive increases in attendances.

Once you get season ticket holders on board, clubs have to do everything they can to keep them, PNE for example had their best season ticket sales (possibly ever) this year but many are disillusioned and could return to being walk on fans once again.

Slightly OT but has anyone had any inclination of departure times of the organised travel?

If I’m lucky enough to get a ticket, I’m thinking my earliest available time of 5.30pm maybe pushing it a little to travel via the club.

You know better than to argue with idiots (Rovers fans), they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.

They are by far the most weird and deluded fan base in football.

The comments they make would make you think they are part of the big 6 in English football, the video clip on Granada Reports summed them up better than any comments could. Although they do wonders for Mike Ashley bank balance, never seen a set of fans wear as much Lonsdale.

For the league Cup game we were on the last set off time of 6.45.
We missed kick off by a few minutes after going the long way round.

It'll probably be 5.30/5.45/6.

Quite like the Real Madrid protest (Google it - waving the white handkerchiefs) - peaceful protest and gets the message across to anyone watching.
3 Sky matches coming up 25th minute ( Game on the 25/04) - one minute white protest at each one?

May seem childish/pedantic, but how long before this sort of behaviour - trying to gain a greater home advantage is accepted as the norm in Promotion and Relegation clashes at the end of the football season, when earlier in the season, fans of other clubs have been treated differently.

Glad someone else has brought this up, my post on similar protest has got more than lost in the last 10 pages.

White Handkerchiefs, probably better than white flags which I also suggested.

Totally agree. A club should have to declare how many away seats are allocated at the start of the season in their stadium for league games and that's it..

Quick glance at their forum.

Deluded, like mentioned above is the phrase, here's a quote from one of the whoppers.

"Totally agree with this and it's been the same for me - being born in the mid-80's, Burnley never registered to me."

"They were always in the lower end of the leagues, whilst we challenged for the Prem title, main rivals being Man Utd."

🤣🤣🤣

Someone might want to knock this out to the Coventry and Luton fans - which is a comment from their fans forum. This is probably how it started with us.

Therefore we should do it for all the other clubs we play between now and the end of the season, especially Norwich, Coventry and Luton.

If we did get in the play offs, we should give the away fans only 2000 then as well.

And then feel they have a legitimate reason to complain if Norwich or Coventry reciprocated? Obviously anyone playing Luton would struggle for tickets. The horse fiddlers really are a deluded bunch, and as I stated earlier, missing the play offs on goal difference is my wish for them. Would make these ticket scenarios all the more hilarious 🤣

What makes this even sillier is that they won 1-0 when Sheff United bought a lot

Its clearly just to stop us bring a lot of fans to enjoy our promotion

Its entirely up to them of course, but its also very obvious that its because they can't handle 7000 of us chanting about being champions and winning promotion

I think I've already said, but if the prospects were reversed, and it was them coming to do the same at the Turf, then I'd just not go, rather than attempt to make our fans and team feel better for not being as good as our rivals

I feel that football fan mentality is the same right across the UK...and the world for that matter. All seems a bit juvenile. Having said that im really surprised to see this level of pettiness permeate to their board and officials.

Some of the chants, the taunting, the sense of somehow thinking you're different. It's all a bit Panto to be honest...which when you think about it all lends to the appeal of going to this particular game instead of doing the only sensible and right thing ...and that is to boycott it.

They have single handedly given VK and the team a massive motivation to win, they have basically said to the players you only play well when you have lots of fans watching you, you're not that good. They also underestimated the strong bond between the players and fans, they always compliment us, they'll give that extra bit for us for a bit of revenge.
