Var killing international football as well I see. If you watch that 20 odd times and think it's a penalty you should be nowhere near this sport, never mind officiating.

Can't see West Ham holding on to Rice. He's been superb.
Best player on the pitch.
We are playing very well.

Not even debatable in the current game an absolute stonewaller. Arm fully outstretched and hits him on the hand taking the ball off Kane's chest. I'm not a fan of those kind of penalties but it's a clear one. he may aswell have caught the ball

Superb half from England. The midfield balance looked really good. Thought Phillips might have been off the Pace a bit but no.

It's landed on his arm when he's gone to head it. Never a penalty by any definition. Only someone who has never played football would give that. What's he supposed to do with his arm? It's in a perfectly natural position for trying to head the ball

But he doesn't head the ball

and for the record, I have played football. I said I don't like the unintentional ones but even though it was called ''deliberate handball'', I don't believe anyone deliberately handles the ball in their own penalty area, place of the hand seems to determine wether it's deemed deliberate or not.

Henderson for Philips and Foden for Saka needs to happen, get some fresh legs and controlling the ball again.

I didn't say he did hesd the ball. He tries to, misses it and the ball lands on his arm which is in the correct position for his attempt to head the ball. An awful decision. Fortunately its been redressed now.

This system works ok when the full backs get forward. If they don’t, we look too deep and struggle to get the ball forward.

For some god forsaken reason we’ve decided to stop pressing the ball and instead sit back!? If this carries on like this, we lose the game.

This is why you can't trust Southgate. Exactly the same is happening as the EURO Final: not learning from past mistakes.
We did everything right the first half; just go out and do the same second half and get 4/5. Instead, we sit back and let them have the ball.
I don't care if we win in the end because the manner in the way we go about things once comfortably ahead is worrying.

Safegate bores me to tears.

Three holding midfielders. Fullbacks sitting back. A defence unable to cope with Italy being invited on (unlike a Dyche defence for example).

He plays so few attacking players we can never stamp our authority on tough games while dominant and good sides often level against us. We’ll never win a trophy like this.

That was Sunday League from Maguire

No reason to take a man on, in the wrong area to do that plus available passes on, he took himself out of position then passed it to them, then jumped in, instead of getting back in position, with a tackle that got him a booking but could have been a Red, the goal scorer then scored un marked in the position Maguire should have been.

It does make you wonder what has been said at half-time tactically. The change in style is noticeable from the first half against a really poor Italy team.

Don't have a problem with the ref booking players for time wasting just as long as they are consistent with all teams.

Tactically Southgate is inept , that’s why when it matters he has no idea how to change shape or formation mid match to counter effect any of the oppositions plan. If we win this its more by luck than tactics

An avoidable first card for time-wasting, then a clumsy challenge a minute for the second.

Though obviously it tends to be the winning team that will get players booked for time-wasting.

Pathetic from England. 3 already booked for time wasting, Maguire play acting in the middle of the pitch leaving the defence exposed when the ref doesn't stop play. Shaw sent off.

Must have been some half time team talk.

Bellingham is not a holding midfielder, you have no idea what you're talking about and clearly didn't watch the first half, absolutely dominant against a very good Italian side, 2nd half not so easy and here you come with the negative ******** whilst you were silent in the first half.

Was a good goal by Churlinov, similar to Tella at Hull, on the right on his right foot but cuts back in on his left and hits it in the near post from edge of area.

I'd have taken you seriously but when you said A VERY GOOD ITALIAN SIDE!! They aren't, they're pretty average, They've just stepped up 10 yards and we've decided to take 10 back!
