Championship Play-Off Final
I know this shouldn't affect us but for those who may wish to watch it, the play-off final will now be played on the Saturday rather than the Monday.
The dates for the finals are
Championship - Saturday 27th May, kick off time to be confirmed
League Two - Sunday 28th May, kick off 1:30 p.m.
League One - Monday 29th May, kick off 3 p.m.

Re: Championship Play-Off Final
They’ve never played at the new Wembley, thanks to the Blades. I don’t want them getting near there this season.

Re: Championship Play-Off Final
So far this season out of the top 10 (Likely play off opponents, apart from us):
Played - 13/18
Won - 6
Drew - 2
Lost - 5
Points Gained - 20/39
Games still to play:
Norwich - H
Coventry - H
Burnley - H
Luton - H
Millwall - A
Not a bad record against teams around them, though a couple of wins were against Middlesbrough and West Brom earlier in the season when they were dire, plus a decent FA Cup campaign against the likes of Leicester, I don't think it is so clear cut they would bottle it in the play offs.
Just better off they avoid it altogether.

Re: Championship Play-Off Final
I want the Bas***ds to miss out on the play offs on last game of season due to their woeful goal difference. That would be hilarious
Re: Championship Play-Off Final
A bit too close for comfort for me, like Claretitus, I'd much rather them just miss the play offs by goal difference.
Boro v Millwall final could be tasty.

Millwall v ?
Re: Championship Play-Off Final
have sorted it for you ...
Rovers will miss out on play offs, and Boro up automatically, as we break the 100 points barrier and claim the title.
Happy days

Re: Championship Play-Off Final
You would assume that Sheffield United and Middlesbrough are just about guaranteed a play off place. So that leaves seven teams with any kind of realistic chance of the remaining three spots.
Here are there remaining fixtures
*Hopefully this is within the rules about listing a certain amount of fixtures on here.
Luton 38 64 - Watford (h), Millwall (a), Blackpool (h), Rotherham (a), Reading (a), Middlesbrough (h), Blackburn (a), Hull (h)
Blackburn 37 61 - Birmingham (a), Norwich (h), Huddersfield (a), Hull (h), Coventry (h), PNE (a), Burnley (h), Luton (h), Millwall (a)
Millwall 38 60 - WBA (a), Luton (h), Hull (a), PNE (h), Birmingham (h), Wigan (a), Blackpool (a), Blackburn (h)
Norwich 38 57 - Sheff Utd (h), Blackburn (a), Rotherham (h), Middlesbrough (a), QPR (a), Swansea (h), WBA (a), Blackpool (h)
Coventry 38 57 - Stoke (h), Swansea (a), Watford (h), QPR (a), Blackburn (a), Reading (h), Birmingham (h), Middlesbrough (a)
WBA 37 55 - Millwall (h), Rotherham (a), QPR (h), Stoke (a), Blackpool (a), Sunderland (h), Sheff Utd (a), Norwich (h), Swansea (a)
Watford 38 55 - Luton (a), Huddersfield (h), Coventry (a), Bristol City (h), Cardiff (h), Hull (a), Sunderland (a), Stoke (h)
The amount of games against each other is massive, I think this will go to the wire but the current points cushion Rovers have over the teams chasing does appear to be vital and a clincher for them.

Re: Championship Play-Off Final
Millwall v rovers the last game of the season....crikey.
Re: Championship Play-Off Final
Surely they can’t let Rovers play at Wembley they would ask for half of their opponents seats to remain empty!

Whilst leaving half of their own allocation empty as a 'protest' against the Venky's.

Re: Championship Play-Off Final
Better for us if Rovers miss out on the top 6, you just know if they sneak in there they'll rag a couple of results to go up.

Re: Championship Play-Off Final
None of the Rovers home games are easy. I don’t see them making the playoffs even without my claret tinged goggles on. I still reckon it will be Sheff U and Boro top 3 with Luton, Coventry and either West Brom or Norwich to make up the 6. Millwall and Rovers to miss out.
