Fanzone for Blackburn game

Post by Quickenthetempo » Mon Mar 27, 2023 10:01 am

Just seen on the official site they are opening the fanzone for people to watch the Rovers game.

5 pound a do.

When you go on the ticket section, the fanzone has it's own section to click on.

Got you, thanks chaps.

I’m not sure what to do. I was hoping they’d open up the longside and hire a few big screens. Thought that could’ve been really memorable.

Take it today we find out whether/who has tickets in the ballot………if unsuccessful then the fanzones a good option…..

Is the fanzone a free for all or can you book tables?

We're not allowed to show the game within the stadium without Blackburn's permission as the home side and given how they have acted so far I can't imagine they'd give permission for that.

Is that right? It’s broadcast in TV isn’t it? I can’t see how it’s any of Rovers’ business whether we screen a game that’s otherwise televised?

Think there’s only 10-12 of the long “bench tables” and it’s first come first served

I am not sure why we're not allowed (the exact ruling behind it, hopefully someone can confirm this) but all I know is that if we want to show the game in the stadium (on a non home matchday) we need the home club's permission to do so.

Unless of course it's already being screened live on TV.

If its being played on large screens in the fanzone ... what is to stop BFC turning the North stand into one huge Fanzone 😁 with a couple of Large screens on the pitch

Do you mean 10-12 rows?
There must be close to 100 picnic bench type tables in there now

I imagine they don't want to expose the pitch to the hoards running onto it, celebrating

I was basing it off when we went for the Sheff Utd game that they showed. It wasn’t in the same set up as for a matchday

They’ve put some of the tables together now to form longer tables, but there’re more than 10-12 from memory.

There definitely wasn’t that many there for the Sheff Utd game but maybe that was as based on tickets sold prior to the day.

Obviously this will be more in demand.

If they chuck in table service I might be tempted 😆

For the indoor one you just collect at the reception as you walk in

Not sure how they will do the outdoor one they set up a separate entrance to it
