You have to feel a bit sorry for him when you read his excuse for drink driving.

I doubt that's the case at all - from what I've been told most of the early signings were his - so that includes Luky Juke, Marvin Sordell up to Jon Walters. And the reverse is that I don't think he was the one who brought Maxwel Cornet to the club.

On Stephens though, he had been a good player for Brighton and had we got him in 2016 I'm sure he'd have been a good signing. Not, however, in 2020 when he was carrying an injury that went on to keep him out for long spells and an injury that he's still not recovered from.
