He said the opposite didn't he? He suggested that he might be because of the Foster situation.

And I’m sure you said he’d never play again, bar a cameo against Cardiff on the last day ;)

Sounds like SA immigration have heard of Foster and his new found status and wealth. They likely want a piece of the action too.
Anyone who has lived in Sub-Saharan Africa will have encountered this type of thing all too often and Lyle will have to figure out how to circumvent it. VK is not pleased.

I almost killed my mrs when she forgot our daughters birth certificate (which I wasn’t aware we needed), the most stressful day of my life 😂

I lived in Nigeria for 12 years and Equatorial Guinea for 4 but travelled extensively on the West Coast to Ghana, Cameroon, Gabon, Namibia and of course SA. Immigration and customs issues were all too frequent in that part of the world.

Yeah but your heavily implying corruption in your original statement which I think while possible isn't neccacarily the situation.

He literally mentioned sub-Saharan Africa in his first post.

Stop nitpicking.

???

That's my point - Sub-Saharan Africa is a huge area of millions of people. It shouldn't be all clumped in together. No nitpicking here

He’s mentioned that sub-Saharan immigration policies are very similar, as he has experience of many countries in that region.

I don’t think it’s a lazy generalisation.

Shame the United Kingdom couldn't adopt more "immigration issues" policies rather than the ongoing ' let 'em all in ' policy of recent years.

You don't think it's a generalisation that all border authorities in the forty+ countries there, with a combined population of up to a billion people, are corrupt and take money off anyone with wealth passing through there? Interesting stance

Yes we can definitely characterise the stance taken by the likes of Patel, Braverman, May (hostile environment), along with Brexit as "let them all in" can't we.
