Credit to Sunderland.
They put in some shift. Played well.

Fair result.

Just wish we'd pushed our midfield higher...

Typical post international break performance. Happens every time. Not poor but nowhere near our usual sharpness. Also 3 long term injuries returning at once.
Of course it was poor , all over the pitch

I know it probably would have made no difference but no added time on the 6 mins? They wasted at least 2 of em  ahh well makes it more likely we win the title at ewood

Poor performance, game was crying out for Darko with 30 to go instead we bring on the slow 1 footed Gudmundsson. Obafemi should've been on sooner too. So slow with the ball at the back tonight, has to be so much quicker to turn them over.

Pitch looked wet
Players slipping
Bad passes
Touches all over
Bad night

But we are going up as champions
Long game

Take the clean sheet and point and move on, who knows both Blades and Boro might slip up tomorrow.

At least we maintain our unbeaten home run and promotion will happen at some stage.

Anyone calling that a poor performance is just plain wrong. Not as good as our excellent usual selves, sure. But still the better side, far and away, against a team who've come to the Turf better drilled than pretty much any other. Little reason to feel flat after that. Another point on the way to a fine, fine promotion. Up the Clarets.

Where you getting that from?

We had a good amount of possession not not many clear cut chances, they defended exceptional well and high. We had marginally more attempts than them.

It was a game played in midfield and a draw was a fair result.

Disappointing night-a lack of urgency and a general lack of control particularly from our forward play which I thought lacked composure. Maybe lucky not to have lost against an under strength but well organised team. Bit of a reality check for VK

I think tonight has shown again that despite our deep squad, there’s not much coming off the bench. Certainly not at the moment, anyway.

Churlinov is a mystery. His trickery could and should make a difference.

Strange performance. Credit to Sunderland to be fair. Funny how it works out sometimes - starting 11 looked really strong, but not the performance or result we were hoping for…… on to Boro away and hopefully we’ve saved a few goals in the tank for that one!

Far too much sideways, backwards......the result was inevitable with 30 minutes to play.

I think Tella is better on the right than the left. Unless Tella is up front with Barnes I don't think there is room for both him and Benson at the same time. Might have been better with one of them and swapping later on. Let one loose later on when they are tiring.

Poor performance by our own standards, but fair play to Sunderland and Mowbray, they did everything right to nullify us. Thought Beyer and Brownhill played well, but I don't understand why Cork isn't getting on, he and Cullen together were the strength of the team, with Cork, in particular, moving the ball forward through the midfield. Also, Tella is not a winger: he spent most of the game tonight out wide and hence was waisted. Still it's a point towards promotion.

Played like a team that hadn’t trained together for a few weeks…

Not a big deal over 46 games having a match like this

Bit diff that one cause the whole team were training for 2 - 3 weeks solid leading up to it. More meaning these 2 week ones.

I really don’t get why VK every now and then play them out of position. Every time he does it we look so disjointed and no continuity at all. On paper the starting lineup was seriously strong, after the 21 min interval Tella went left wing, zaroury middle not sure where Barnes was playing. But you could tell those coming back from injury

I didn’t think we were poor. We had good possession. Two or three good chances that on another day might have gone in. We were up against a well drilled side and we had 13 players away on international duty. All in all I’m ok with a draw.
Onwards and upwards. Although we can’t get any further upwards tbf.

Very frustrating. I don't like to criticize players, but can anyone explain to me why Muric looked to be time wasting on at least three occasions in injury time.

Thought it was a big ask bringing THB,Brownhill, and Benson all back at once ,and expect them to be match sharp,I think if Gudmonsson had been on at 1/2 time we may have snatched it.

We were well better than them and on another day would have scored at least 3.

That said, a better team than them (of which there will be 19 next year) will score at least one of the first half mix up/second half bar chances.

Classic case of the international break stopping all momentum. Either that, or the City defeat hurt the players more than we think.

I'd suggest 13 players away and having to play on a Friday night certainly didn't help..
