Take it the ref has not been told about the scheduled stop on 15 mins.

Re: Clarets v Mackems
Sunderland doing very well at pushing onto us and not giving us time to play it around at the back.

Sunderland midfield are doing really well but surely they can't this up for 90+mins they'll be shagged out by 65min

Re: Clarets v Mackems
Barnes is totally baffling the two CB's - they don't know where to run

Re: Clarets v Mackems
Tella Barnes fewest touches of the match. Sunderland defending well
Re: Clarets v Mackems
I really wish Tella wouldn’t do that.

Re: Clarets v Mackems
Never a penalty in a million years, not the first time Tella has done this and he needs to stop it.

Re: Clarets v Mackems
Tella didn't appeal and didn't seem to be looking for it.
Re: Clarets v Mackems
Sunderland are playing the opposite to how most sides have played at Turf Moor this season. And as if by magic, it's working. We've been brilliant at home but I have been a bit baffled by how easy teams have made it for us.
Re: Clarets v Mackems
Tella dives so much and not one has worked. The boy that cried wolf comes to mind when he is actually fouled and we don’t get it. Referees know who has a reputation for it.
Re: Clarets v Mackems
Why do we insist on passing to players who are being marked.

Re: Clarets v Mackems
Not good from Tella. He's better than resorting to diving
Re: Clarets v Mackems
Brownhill been really poor, way too deep and slow on the ball.
Re: Clarets v Mackems
Brownhill so far off it touches poor, passing backwards constantly.

Re: Clarets v Mackems
I really don't think it was a deliberate dive nor was he claiming for a pen. Just fell over
Re: Clarets v Mackems
To be fair, it’s been a few games since we’ve looked the runaway leaders that we are. But if this is a slump, I’ll take it.
Re: Clarets v Mackems
Not working so far……
Re: Clarets v Mackems
Teams have come and had a go and been blown away, we've just been off it tonight so far, we're definitely a better 2nd half team.
Re: Clarets v Mackems
We will do our usual, hopefully, and up the tempo second half as they tire.
Re: Clarets v Mackems
Yes you can tell we've got a few returning from long injuries + international break
Re: Clarets v Mackems
How are they playing? Coming at us?

Re: Clarets v Mackems
Put it down to Tella having a dry run for whats expected all over the Prem next season.
Re: Clarets v Mackems
This. If someone goes down in the box we want to immediately label it a dive or a penalty. I don't think the Tella one was either. He tries to shimmy his weight to avoid the tackle, loses balance and eventually goes to ground.criminalclaret wrote: ↑Fri Mar 31, 2023 8:39 pmI really don't think it was a deliberate dive nor was he claiming for a pen. Re: Clarets v Mackems
Agree.
However, they'll have to keep it up for 90 minutes or take advantage by scoring.
