So essentially Huddersfield make a complaint, the EFL as a matter of course ask for our ‘observations’, we say we haven’t broken any rules and the complaint is filed in the bin.warksclaret wrote: ↑Sun Apr 23, 2023 11:11 amhttps://c.newsnow.co.uk/A/1176775667?-919:978

Re: Huddersfield complain to EFL about Burnley
It's what some clubs will do when facing relegation. Different circumstances but us and Leeds were complaining about Everton and FFP this time last year.Payton Offside Again wrote: ↑Sun Apr 23, 2023 5:40 pmHuddersfield Town fan in peace:
If it helps, most Town fans think it's bloody ridiculous as well. You have a squad, you have the right to utilise it however you see fit. TBH I can't help but admire the shithousery of winning the title at Ewood Park.
Congratulations on promotion. Well deserved, and if we do end up relegated then it's nothing to do with you and everything to do with the fact we were utter garbage for the first 75% of the season.
Best of luck next season. Especially in the games against Leeds and Forest if they stay up.
Re: Huddersfield complain to EFL about Burnley
Good point CT. Clearly nothing is going to happen with this because no rules have been broken as far as I can tell which is why I find it odd that the FA have apparently asked for ‘our observations’ regarding team selection?ClaretTony wrote: ↑Sun Apr 23, 2023 6:14 pmIt's what some clubs will do when facing relegation. A previous post on here rightly questioned what’s the point in having a 25 man squad if you can’t use it as and when you want!? Also, what if, for example, 7 starters got injured or ill at training the following day after a game making them unavailable for selection for the next game? As unlikely as that would be to happen, it’s not beyond the realms of possibility and would presumably leave you falling foul of this rule? It just seems a strange rule to me that can’t really be policed fairly.

Re: Huddersfield complain to EFL about Burnley
This one is a league decision rather than the FA. I would think in the case of injuries you would be allowed to submit medical reports had it taken you past the number of changes permitted.Ampth7 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 23, 2023 6:39 pmGood point CT. Can assure you I didn’t lift from you. Where did you post it, because I hadn’t seen it before I post that last night after doing what any sane person would do on a Saturday night after a few beers and compare the team sheets

presumably the loveable he-says-it-how-it-is or a-real-football-man (pick one or both) Colin in action?

Kompany described this as a 'non story and a waste of paper' in his interview today

I think maybe Colin has been browsing UTC and was a little upset that some Burnley fans seemed to be warming to his charms. Decided to do something about it!
Re: Huddersfield complain to EFL about Burnley
I made a comment on Twitter about Colin that was (I thought) quite complimentary ... A Hudds Town fan replied "Don't call him Colin"

Perhaps if they hadn’t played with a weaker team themselves for 40 games they wouldn’t be in this situation.
We even gave them a premier league defender to help them.

I am probably in a minority but I loathe Colin. Such a pity that we decided to declare on 4. I would have loved us to have got 10 and equalled the City score against them!

How about Sheffield United making a complaint to EFL that Huddersfield played a weakened side against Burnley when the Blades were trying to catch up with us?

Considering he’s only played 13minutes since start of March, I doubt they’ll miss him and it’ll make much difference

I see Carrick has left out Akpom tonight at Luton as he needs a rest, I wonder if any of the other play off contenders will complain to the EFL!
Yes I know Luton and Boro are nailed on in play off positions anyway.

Re: Huddersfield complain to EFL about Burnley
If Colin has complained about our team I'd hate to see his complaint about the surgeon who did his face lift.
Re: Huddersfield complain to EFL about Burnley
It's a complete no-story! The EFL's guidelines state: "From the fourth Thursday in March, any team sheet for a League game should include at least 10 outfield players who featured on the team sheet for the League game before."
In our case, 14 players from the 18-man squad, who were selected for the 2-0 win against Sheffield United at Turf Moor previously, were named in the group for the fixture in Berkshire.

I hate to disappoint the Warnock/Huddersfield Town haters amongst you, but on Talksport today Neil Warnock said he did NOT complain to the EFL, and as far as he knew nobody at Huddersfield did.
A one-newspaper non-story.

He would say that! How embarrassing to admit to something so pathetic.
