Re: Don't let them forget tonight
My Rovers mate text me first before I got chance to text him to congratulate us and say we’re by far the best team
In the league.
They aren’t all bad

Very kind hearted and altruistic of you to be a mate of a Rovers fan. On this night, of all nights, I think it's only right to be gracious, so perhaps you'd pass on the Clarets warmest regards and hope they're rightfully delighted with another successful season of mid table mediocracy.

That is our 6th Championship since 1947 but only one v Chesterfield in about 1982 was clinched at home

Take the ironmongers money out of the occasion and their previous benefactors I'm not sure, but then again I'm the wrong side of fiftyAndreshotboots wrote: ↑Tue Apr 25, 2023 11:22 pmWhen was the last time they actually scored against us?

Re: Don't let them forget tonight
They're not going to forget it for a long time. They have excuse after excuse but the bottom line is that the tables have turned. They are also rans chasing after the best team in this league. Another handout from Venky's perhaps but let's not mention that. Championes !

Just imagine how utterly gut wrenchingly awful it must be making them feel.

Re: Don't let them forget tonight
mdd Technically the Chesterfield game wasn't a title clincher. Carlisle could have pipped if they won the next day by seven goals. Thankfully they didn't. On the same note we have only clinched promotion once on a Saturday since the 60s at Scunthorpe

Can't sleep.
Absolutely over the moon
I went to school in Blackburn from 2004-09 then Clitheroe 09-11 when they had the upper hand and I got so much s*** - the two derby losses in the Prem really hurting.
The past decade has been an absolute delight & long may it continue

Thank you for those highlights, they’re just as sweet now as they will be in years to come… we have had many great days since the last time the B******s had their last great day, but… this one will last a generation. Winning the league in their backyard! In years to come, future generations of Clarets will talk of it, and future generations of B*****d Rovers fans won’t dare to… this will take a while to sink in...CoolClaret wrote: ↑Wed Apr 26, 2023 1:02 amCan't sleep.

I started first year at St Wilfrid’s in 1991 and did the full five plus 6th form. Grim years indeed.CoolClaret wrote: ↑Wed Apr 26, 2023 1:02 amCan't sleep.

I was at QEGS in 95 when they won the league and we got relegated. Never heard the end of it. Now the tables have well and truly turned!CoolClaret wrote: ↑Wed Apr 26, 2023 1:02 amCan't sleep.
