Let's hope the club do everything they can to support Darko and his loved ones through this difficult time. Would be good to see our 'community spirit' extend to making sure Darko still feels like a valued club player, wherever he might be playing his football in the future, if indeed he makes a full and complete recovery.

Sepsis was a death sentence twenty years ago, much better now but still very serious. Hope he recovers full fitness, frightening condition my dad contacted it after a hospital cockup following a routine operation, he aged ten years in a week. Hopefully Churlinov is young and fit enough to bounce back
I attended a lecture by a leading expert on sepsis in the UK about four years ago showing the percentage of people dying from sepsis had fallen since it was made a priority with slogans like think sepsis and sepsis six
Interestingly the numbers dying from sepsis were unchanged meaning we have moved away from calling some infections for what they are and calling very recoverable infections sepsis. That was his take on it. Best results come from early presentation and treatment
Hope He is ok

45 mins here and there isn’t really much game time is it? Form of Zaroury and Darko injured a lot meant he never got a solid run of appearances under his belt to find any form or sharpness
The main thing at this point is sending Darko Churlinov our best wishes and hoping he makes a full recovery from what can be a very nasty illness.

In answer to your comments, there was a reason why Churlinov couldn't even get on the bench towards the end of the season when he was fit and we were in need of wide players and had Vitinho playing out wide. Zaroury's form was a little up and down in the second half of the season but he had to play himself into form as he had zero competition (Churlinov). There was nothing to suggest he could contribute well enough at Championship level (never mind Premier League level) and I'd trust Kompany and his reasons why he wasn't even selecting him to be a sub towards the end of the season.

A journo called Filip Mishov tweeted this morning saying “thankfully his condition is better than before” so if this is genuine we can hope the treatment is working and with luck he will fully recover.

Surprised the club hasn’t mentioned anything. Glad to hear he’s responding well to treatment.

Absolutely agree with that, I didn’t read the rest of the thread after quoting your comment so wasn’t aware of his illness. Hopefully he makes a full speedy recovery!

Crikey! He was in for quite a while wasn’t he. Must’ve been a really bad hit of sepsis. Hope he fully recovers.

I believe the info has been misleading. He has been ill but thankfully not sepsis.

As I’ve posted previously - he hasn’t had sepsis.

As the stories have been seemingly misleading then, has it been an illness he likely to get over a bit quicker and is there still a chance he could leave the club this summer? There was reports it would be weeks and even months before he got back to football.
