Tella not over according to this. If he is available for £15m we'd be mad not to.

Soumaïla Coulibaly signed for Royal Antwerp on loan.
Guess now he's in Belguim , we'll buy him if he impresses

Looks like one of many re-hashed stories about Tella that tells us nothing.Agreed at £15m we should buy himsummitclaret wrote: ↑Fri Aug 11, 2023 5:12 pmTella not over according to this. If he is available for £15m we'd be mad not to.

Hull will be a side to reckon with this season......they play good football, should be good for Twine.clarethomer wrote: ↑Fri Aug 11, 2023 1:40 pmBit surprised by the fact Twine is being loaned out however, if it gives him more guaranteed game time and aids his development and we can recall him then can't see this being anything other than helping him and us get more experience.
He didn't get a full season last year and he took a step up to the championship. Sounds like he is keen according to the Hull reporter so can only assume there is a plan.
If he does well, maybe recall him in Jan.

Wonder where Odobert’s signing leaves the Lukebakio deal.
Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
Personally reckon it’s both of them.agreenwood wrote: ↑Fri Aug 11, 2023 5:55 pmWonder where Odobert’s signing leaves the Lukebakio deal.
Lukebakio has experience, full Belgium international and has that Tella like profile we are missing.
Odobert seems more of a 10 type from clips.
Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
I think Odobert's signing will take us up to about £70M spend.agreenwood wrote: ↑Fri Aug 11, 2023 5:55 pmWonder where Odobert’s signing leaves the Lukebakio deal.

But we’ve bought almost an entire team. Most of the top 10 are spending that on 1 or 2 playersrandomclaret2 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 11, 2023 6:09 pmIm getting it nearer to £80m, but what's the odd £10 million

I remember a stat once from a game against City when someone worked out their bench cost more than Burnley had ever spent in their entire historyVegas Claret wrote: ↑Fri Aug 11, 2023 6:10 pmand then you remember our opponents tonight just spent more than that on ONE defender

Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
If there's anything in the Twine rumours Hull makes a lot of sense
I'm sure the club would trust his development under a progressive coach like Liam Rosenior. I remember when we played them last season he said he modelled their playing style on ours and felt they were 12/18 months behind us
I like Twine and think he's got a bright future but there's no doubt he's going to get a lot more minutes at Hull than he is at Burnley - for now at least

Seriously? That would be mad!! This guy is an absolute gem.
Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
This is not just a winger probably the best young prospect in Belgium together with Lavia and Doku. This dude is insanely skilled. Him and Doku Lukebakio and Trossard are like the main wingers in the Belgium national team right now. This is a player Arsenal or City should be getting.

I thought it was Twine at first, then convinced myself it was Brun Larsen as Twine wasn’t in the squad. So many new faces it’s going to take a while for my dodgy eyesight to adapt!

It was twine, there’s always one player warming up with the squad incase there’s an injury in the warm upFeedTheArf wrote: ↑Sat Aug 12, 2023 8:37 amI thought it was Twine at first, then convinced myself it was Brun Larsen as Twine wasn’t in the squad. Twine was definitely running on the pitch in full kit before the game...there's always one not in the squad doing it... probably in case someone gets injured in the warm upFeedTheArf wrote: ↑Sat Aug 12, 2023 8:37 amI thought it was Twine at first, then convinced myself it was Brun Larsen as Twine wasn’t in the squad. Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
Fair enough. I’d seen the Hull rumours before the game so thought it couldn’t have been him. I’d have loved to have seen his progress this year but he’s going to get far more minutes away from us whether it’s Hull or elsewhere
Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
Hopefully, Beyer isn't badly injured but if he's out for a while, do you think we should go for THB if we have the funds?...
I also think we look far better in defence when Ekdal plays!... He's been criminally underused!

Getting Bakayako, Lukebakio, Odobert snd Ramsey would be unreal. 4 very talented youngsters all capable of performing in the PL.Anthonini wrote: ↑Sat Aug 12, 2023 8:14 amThis is not just a winger probably the best young prospect in Belgium together with Lavia and Doku. I think we're fine with Ekdai, O'Shea and Al Dakhil. I think we'd be better getting a LB rather than another CB.

Beyer didn’t go down the tunnel which is a plus, could of been cramp and they wanted to be cautious

Left back
Lokonga
Ramsey
Odobert
Lukebakio or bakayako
Number 9
Would finish off an unreal window

I think one highlight from the game last night was our lack of a good quality left-back. Vitinho great as a utility player but showed we need an out and out starter in as soon as we can. Have we been linked with any LB's recently?

It was cramp and as he was man-marking Haaland, he didn’t want to mess up. Right decision when they are constantly playing the long ball over the top for him to chase.123EasyasBFC wrote: ↑Sat Aug 12, 2023 9:16 amBeyer didn’t go down the tunnel which is a plus, could of been cramp and they wanted to be cautious

Vitinho could have done a lot better with their first two goals. Strange he gets in ahead of Taylor, who I know is not the answer long term, but he can defend
