Would be a good move for Ash but I thought he might stay in the North Westclaretandy wrote: ↑Sat May 06, 2023 9:01 amBarnes been shown round Norwich training ground.

Same source that called Westwood to Charlotte FC said Beyer could of been done in January but we decided to leave it till the summer to help the balance sheetsblatherwickstattoos wrote: ↑Sat May 06, 2023 10:19 amJust heard from a very good source Beyer has signed . Great news if so

Brighton just announced the signing of Joao Pedro from Watford, even though he won’t officially join until June.clarethomer wrote: ↑Sat May 06, 2023 11:50 amIs the window open? Or is this some kind of pre-contract thing?

Apparently, people in the know say he is, but they can't find any journo's thinking the same

Pretty sure when he answered that he meant: “of course… unless they pay up my final year in full”

I guess it depends how badly they want McNally and how much we value him at.. if Cov want 20m then we value McNally at 6m (think he cost us 1m?) then we're getting Gyokeres for around 15m.. maybe less with add-ons.. VK signing a new contract is a huge draw tho I don't expect us to compete with the wages Wolves will throw at him.. We won't spend all summer chasing him that's for sure.. my gut feeling is Gyokeres is coming

Do a deal on McNally and loan them Foster for a season so he can find his feet as part of the deal?
For anything to happen here, need Cov to fail in the play offs you'd think.

£6m for McNally is stretching it a bit don’t you think.Woonderbah wrote: ↑Mon May 08, 2023 11:09 amI guess it depends how badly they want McNally and how much we value him at.. if Cov want 20m then we value McNally at 6m (think he cost us 1m?) then we're getting Gyokeres for around 15m.. maybe less with add-ons.. Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
Just my opinion, but I don’t think it is, in fact I think they might be getting him cheap at that.
Since he went there he’s been one of the strongest defenders in the Championship, helped take Cov from mid table to play-offs, helped them secure the most clean sheets in the league this season & been in TOTW loads of times.
Souttar went for £15m so not unthinkable that he could do the same with another year or two of Championship football under his belt. Said this in another post but I think we’ve bought some top young talent that with a season or two in the champ could be ready to come back in or command really big fees so I would loan them over selling them on the cheap too quickly.
That said, there’s obviously a deal to be done around McNalley/Gyokeres if they don’t go up… they have a decent chance…

I get what you’re saying but it’s not exactly a fair comparison. Soutter has more full international caps than McNally has championship appearances. McNally will currently be worth a few a million but I think if he keeps playing championship football he could very well be worth that by January.NewClaret wrote: ↑Mon May 08, 2023 11:39 amJust my opinion, but I don’t think it is, in fact I think they might be getting him cheap at that.

Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
Robins himself has said that he will have a better budget than last season but it won’t be anything remotely like £25 million - unless of course that includes being given the money from sales.
"There will be investment in the playing staff this summer," Robins told BBC CWR. "But you have to do that at the rate we can go at.”
"There isn't going to be a significant shift in the money that I'd get. There would be an uplift, 100 per cent”
“But the biggest change is the stability, and a change in infrastructure.”
“Obviously we are in a position now where we will be able to attract some really good players again.”

Yes..great pulling power for the club now with VK new contract. My one and only concern is Muric, his positioning and decision making on crosses frightens me tbh. We need to sign a bloody good keeper. Is Verbruggen coming??

Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
My point is it depends how the clubs' accountants want to handle it.. if Gyokeres is say £16m then they get McNally for £1m.. if Gyokeres is £20m then McNally is £5m.. either way our outlay is similar as long as they want McNally. Obviously irrelevant if Gyokeres prefers a move to Wolves or if Cov go up, or if VK wants to keep McNally

Hazard has announced he’s seeing out his final year at RM. I think he’s done at the top level.

Also depends on salary. Would be pleasantly surprised if we could pay him the same as Wolves would be able to.Woonderbah wrote: ↑Mon May 08, 2023 12:35 pmMy point is it depends how the clubs' accountants want to handle it.. if Gyokeres is say £16m then they get McNally for £1m.. if Gyokeres is £20m then McNally is £5m.. either way our outlay is similar as long as they want McNally. It was against Lyon he plays for Montpellier and has 2 years left on his deal.
Could be a very exciting signing if it’s legit

Just watched the highlights. He looks decent, as you'd expect of someone who's scored four.

Kompany did go and see Montpellier play the other week didn't he. Wahi started in that one. Seems a bit of a stretch given the clubs already linked / apparent price tag.

He’s being linked with Arsenal and Newcastle so it seems a bit far fetched. Looks a fabulous player when you watch his goals. Is the source any good?

MHSC's 20-year-old goalscorer Elye Wahi is a target for several big-name European clubs, such as Newcastle, Arsenal and AC Milan.Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Tue May 09, 2023 11:30 amBurnley have joined the race for Wahi

The Montpellier nugget Eye Wahi is very courted by several European clubs. If prestigious teams like Arsenal, Newcastle or AC Milan are in the race, it is a team that will surprise more than one has entered the dance: Burnley.
The club has just validated its accession to the Premier League under the leadership of Vincent Kompany, who has had a flawless run since his arrival on the Clarets bench, and who has just extended his contract until 2028.
Nasri advises Kompany to try an approach
Vincent Kompany, close to Samir Nasri, was convinced by the latter to "try an approach" with the player's entourage. According to our information, the arguments put forward by the Belgian are that the player will be at the center of the Burnley project unlike Arsenal or Newcastle, where he should adapt quickly to find a place in the plethoric workforce.
Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
Wout still thinks he's going to get a United lifeline.
“In those [talks] the club said they are very satisfied with me. It has absolutely not been communicated with me that Man United don’t want to continue with me,”
“They appreciate my value. They believe I am absolutely an asset for the team. Of course I have heard different things [in the media]. I have to wait and see what happens and focus on our goals in the league and cup competitions."
I 100% don't want him back, we should be looking to sell him as soon as he returns.

Any fee for him will do for me. Just get him away from our club. His ego far outweighs his ability , and he thinks that he’s bigger than Burnley that’s for sure
Re: Summer transfer window 2023 - rumours, links and discussion.
Might be worth getting him back to encourage Wahi to sign - he’d pay top dollar for that!
