I don’t see much clamour for Tarkowski to make the England team, from anyone at all, just on here.

Every PL club pays great money, big wages. He went to cannon fodder Everton because that’s his level and he wasn’t flush with choice.

At the start of this season Everton were expected to struggle and did, Tarkowski signed at the start of this season.

Comparing Everton pre Benitez to the one that survived relegation with 1 game to go under Lampard is incredibly disingenuous. Ancelotti went there when they were splashing cash, comfortably mid table and looking to push onto that next level. Million miles away from the current Everton.
Disingenuous ?
Yeh ok.
I don’t even know the point you are trying to make. Are you saying that because Tarkowski signed for Everton on a salary of £5m a season he can’t be that good ?
Ancelotti signed for Everton the season after they had finished 15th. He signed half way the season after because they were doing so well did he ?
They had been struggling for years and struggled most of the time since.
They splashed plenty of cash under Lampard too….especially on wages.

But you crack on with your criticising of everything and everyone involved with Dyche.
It’s embarrassing.

Sacha Tavolieri running with the Mikuatadze story now.

He’s been bang on the money with quite a few of our signings now, and also with ones we’ve been unsuccessful with. He seems about as reliable as you can get with players that are playing or have played in Belgium.

I’d say this one definitely has mileage in it now based on that.

That’s the link he’s chosen. His tweet is from today. Why Hes chosen to link to an old article I know not but he doesn’t really have a reputation of being a ‘throw **** and see what sticks’ merchant that I’m aware of

The biggest issue is unlike last season any "untried" signing has to be capable of premiership levels not a mid table championship level (referring to the original 3 year plan) and if there not they either won't survive or they won't bring enough to the team. The gulf is huge and unlike players like Twine, McNally (who proved himself at championship level at Coventry) and Foster plus 2-3 others where we could nurse them and put them in, out, subs bench etc etc this league now is unforgiving.

He’s a pretty well know entity on this board.

There’s been posts following his impressive season for months

The difference in sort of player we get linked to now is staggering. Jack Clarke this summer. Two summers ago I wouldn't have been surprised if it had been Jeremy Clarkson.

Not sure we spend over £10m on him when that position already has one of our best attackers (AZ). But I do like him.

Jack Clarke has had an excellent 18 months at Sunderland and I'd be delighted if we were able to bring him here.

The British market is just so expensive though and Sunderland would likely want in excess of £15m for him. I think we'll once again do most of our shopping abroad and use the British market in a limited capacity only for a couple of loans.

Good young winger who had a standout season. Great ball carrier who can go past defenders. We need depth in wide areas and Benson and Zaroury need competition.

Whether it be Clarke or not, it's very evident we're keen on a wide forward. Orban, Redmond, Baldé. This could be interpreted as Tella not making a return. But even if Tella was to play for us next season, we need more options for that part of the pitch. Just look at how Zaroury (understandably) ran out of juice.

Personally think we are looking for a striker and wide player as well as tella,

Jan 13th to Feb 11th we could be without foster and zaroury due to AFCON so we will need the options

Jack Clarke has had a decent season but I'd be a bit disappointed with this one given he's no better than what we have and would likely cost substantially more.

I would say he’s levels above our current back up left winger Vitinho.

The reason why Zaroury had to play through his indifferent form at times is because an average performance from him was better than anything Churlinov or Vitinho could offer playing wide left.

Whether it’s Clark or not, we definitely require another left winger (and right winger if Tella doesn’t sign).

Not seen too much of Clarke, but heard positives about him on Championship podcasts throughout the season.

Exciting to be linked with so many decent players, and it's still May. Beats having nothing tangible to pin our hopes on all summer and waiting to see what scraps are left for us in August.

Should be an exciting summer!

he ticks all the boxes, and he's had a much better than decent season

Course, he will cost, but now we are in the prem that is unfortunately the case

Be well happy with him it has to be said

Vitinho is as near as it gets to the old "utility player", I would expect specialists in any position to be ahead of him.

I don't know why I've got this feeling that our Brazilian backup is going to come on games in the PL next season and make some key contributions

I agree with you but I just think we have two wingers right now who are both better than him and cost a lot less. I don't think we are quite at the stage where we can shell out 10-15m on a player who will back-up the first team.

Yep, ideal chap for fast-flowing, slick, passing, high-line Kompany-ball.

I do just wonder if some people have spotted our change in style this season.
I'm talking about Southgate. Also, Brentford are hardly a longball team.

You’d like to think if all 3 bids where accepted Clarke would think he would have more game time with us out of the 3.

Keane Lewis-potter went to Brentford from hull for good money and barely featured, that might factor in

Palace - depends on manager they have and if zaha ends up signing a new deal because he would ultimately be back up to zaha, eze and olise

I stated yesterday I don’t really care for following what people on twitter say is happening in transfer world, people like Romano tweet that much they are bound to get stuff right, much prefer to wait until the club announce something has happened.

What are you referring to as ‘people like you’ think that’s abit strong don’t you think?

I’m my opinion he tweets an awful lot of nothing to cover himself and he’s bound to get stuff right, also known to delete stuff he gets wrong, the whole transfer season on twitter is silly accounts tweeting all sorts just for abit of clout

Jack Clarke is similar in style to Churlinov and the form he showed for Sunderland is probably what we hoped Darko was going to produce for us.

The injury meant it was a case of, what could have been unfortunately.

I stated yesterday I don’t really care for following what people on twitter say is happening in transfer world, people like Romano tweet that much they are bound to get stuff right, much prefer to wait until the club announce something has happened.

What are you referring to as ‘people like you’ think that’s abit strong don’t you think?
Pretty much every signing we've made in the last few years I've known about before the club announced it because of twitter

You also stated yesterday that you wanted your account removed. Maybe you’re trying to make that happen by being an absolute weapon?

Right and that’s fine I just prefer to wait till the club post it to fully know it’s happening

I’m my opinion he tweets an awful lot of nothing to cover himself and he’s bound to get stuff right, also known to delete stuff he gets wrong, the whole transfer season on twitter is silly accounts tweeting all sorts just for abit of clout
I agree about the silly accounts (they do my head in), I think I follow 4 proper accounts for transfers and that's about it
Fabrizzio Romano
Sacha Tavolieri
Nicolò Schira
Bon Faesen - local Belgian Journo just because we are clearly looking in Belgium

Perfect example that Burnley boys on twitter just put copule tweets about maupay, Rodrigo and Adam’s. Then a follow up about richarlison and deleted them both, silly accounts like that

Amen to that - this is fast becoming the most painful transfer rumours thread we’ve had and that’s saying something, especially when it’s not even June!
