I’d say based on the size of his contract and signing on fee there are at least 20 million reasons why Tarks signed for Everton.

Funny how most burnley fans voted Tarks in their best ever burnley eleven yet you talk about him like he’s a slight upgrade on Peter Swan. But with your inflated opinion of your football knowledge I’m pretty sure you believe you are correct and everyone else is wrong.
Based on the way you speak Barcelona should have surely been sniffing around him. Quite telling he went on a free transfer and the best option he got was a poor relegation fighting team. I’d have him in my Burnley team too, he was great here but that doesn’t make him not hugely limited to one way of playing

Given our penchant for spotting talent in Belgium I assume VK and his band of merry men have noticed the form of Ayase Ueda, Japanese striker from Vitinho's former Club Cercle Brugge. 21 in 38 this season.
I don't know an awful lot about him to be honest but signing a Japanese international might have the same impact Foster's signing has in terms of gaining new supporters in a new part of the world

Burnley have put an opening offer in for Mikaudetze

According to Ekram Konur
whilst he's followed by plenty of people he doesn't seem to be followed by any big hitters (in the brief look I just had) and that probably says more. A couple of links he put out this week were got from L'equipe and Mercato so they carried a bit more weight imho

On the subject of young wingers, should we lose Benson, don’t forget that we bought 18-yr-old Enock Agyei from Anderlecht in January and sent him straight out on loan to KV Mechelen (Steven Defour).
I’m not sure how well he’s done. He doesn’t seem to have played much, but would a full pre-season with VK make him an option?

You’d expect a journo from turkey to get info regarding a player playing in turkey but the amount of tweets regarding Burnley in the last day, highly doubt a free lance has that must info from England, France and Italy

Don’t buy into that Romano at all, he literally tweets ‘Manchester United admirers off….’ For about 40 different players, bound to get one right, he’s nothing who deletes stuff that doesn’t happen

He will have some contacts but if you tweet enough bound to get something right

That sacha guy got a couple of deals right but he also claimed kompany was debating his future when he had already agreed a 5 year deal

Sacha never claimed he was debating his future simply stated his agents were contacted. Fabrizio made brighton look silly and does have connections to agents. If you arent going to give any credit to links provided by those two sources then lets bin the whole thread because to put it simply does not get more accurate than those two individuals.

Totally agree. Tarks was magnificent for us, is great for Everton. But; he can’t play in a high line, and his distribution is limited. He is a poorer version of Slabhead and he’s shocking in a top six team.

Everton weren’t his only option, they were the only NW option. Who could’ve seen Everton being in a relegation scrap. I didn’t pick it.

Wasn’t about not giving them any credit, I don’t particularly credit anyone rather wait till someone is actually signed.

Just stated all these so called ‘transfer gurus’ post that much that they are bound to get some stuff right.

Sacha did claim exactly that, if you read his tweets he said kompany wasn’t sure if we would have finances to compete and if his credibility if we don’t succeed would go down, that sounds like debating his future to me

None of it really matters, last summer and looks like this summer it’s nice to see names linked regardless of how true they are

What have I said about Tarks that would make you think Barcelona should be sniffing round him ?

When you say one way of football I’m guessing you mean under Dyche ? Yet at the start of the season under Lampard (not exactly known for Dyche type football) Tarks was arguably playing his best football. Danny Murphy said on a MOTD last year that he thought that Tarkowski was the best English centre back in the Premier League at that time and Lineker agreed with him.

As for the reason he signed for Everton - it’s the same reason why many players have gone to relegation fighting Everton. They pay big money and at the start of every season they don’t expect to be relegation fighting. Why do you think one of the most successful football managers in the world in the last couple of decades went to Everton ?

People like John Percy, Paul Joyce and Andy Jones when it comes to Burnley are considered tier 1 because when they have very good sources and are reliable. They usually don't bother tweeting if the information is not 100% verified. On the other hand, people like Ekrem Konur tweet every 30 minutes and some of their stories will turn out to be true but most of them won't.

Nixon is similar to Konur (a lot of stories published weekly) but he has been pretty reliable for us in the past few years. Broke the stories about Collins, Cornet, City players etc.

I don’t see much clamour for Tarkowski to make the England team, from anyone at all, just on here.

Every PL club pays great money, big wages. He went to cannon fodder Everton because that’s his level and he wasn’t flush with choice.

At the start of this season Everton were expected to struggle and did, Tarkowski signed at the start of this season.

Comparing Everton pre Benitez to the one that survived relegation with 1 game to go under Lampard is incredibly disingenuous. Ancelotti went there when they were splashing cash, comfortably mid table and looking to push onto that next level. Million miles away from the current Everton.

Tarks will become the Steve Bruce of the PL. Bruce was a sensational defender, in the true sense. Acknowledged as that by Ferguson and his peers, and I believe he never got an England cap
