Big sam

Maybe it would have been wiser until he had saved DL to keep his trap shut about him being as good as pep and the like, most would still have laughed but perhaps not as loudly as they are now!

Can’t really blame him for trousering the big bucks if idiots are daft enough to employ him. Just glad he didn’t trouser 3 million.

Threw his players under a bus last week and did the same again today. His time is done at the top level, game’s moved on.

The Bison head was never gonna blame himself, hence throwing the subs under the bus last week, and similar today. Big Fat Con man.

You can’t blame him really. Will have been offered a small fortune for a hiding to nothing which has probably done nothing to his reputation. There will still be clubs who is their hour of utter despair will put there hands in their pockets for a last throw of the dice.

He averaged a marvellous 0.25 points per game. If only he’d have taken over earlier in the season.

Given the four fixtures they had it’s no surprise really.

What were the comments by their Chairman and majority owner Andrea Radrizzani at the end of last season, after they stayed up (who incidentally was not at todays game) :D :D :D

It’s not a surprise because they’re rubbish and clearly Allardyce is a busted flush. But they had two winnable games that returned 0 points.

Atrocious and desperate appointment.

He's a rotund relic with an ego that betrays his skills and successes.

Hopefully that's the last football has to see of him now.

Did anyone seriously think anyone ( even god himself ) could have saved this desperate freefalling shambles ?They survived by the skin of their balls last yr and didn’t improve 1 iota .
BFS was simply a measured, experienced if expensive last throw of the dice . 4 games with the 1st being away to Man City and the 2nd being Newcastle , nigh on impossible .

The dry pitch was classic Sam. Unfortunately, Leeds only strength is playing with high intensity, which is difficult to do when the ball doesn't roll. So happy to see anti football tricks like that backfire.

Not sure where you get the 2 from I'd possibly count west ham as the most likely to get a result from & even that was away, they wasn't favourites in any of the 4 games he managed.

Its so sad people keep wheeling him out as a last minute saviour. Surely this is the end of him in managing clubs. Not hard to see why he is so disliked when there are so many decent, articulate managers in the PL

Aye- cant blame him for taking the job, who wouldn't accept half a million for a few weeks work irrespective of how much success you had (and a 2 million (?) bonus if you actually succeeded). If they're daft enough to make the offer, cant blame anybody for having a crack.
I'm sure he thought he could get better results but he overestimated his own ability (and how crap DL were).

The poor grace he showed in failing the task pretty badly will almost certainly mean that's the last we see of him in management.

Leicester beat West Ham in the same run of games. A team with nothing to play for in the league and with an eye on a European final. Spurs in 8th place playing with no consistency and losing 14 games this season, also playing for very little other than the chance of qualifying for a tournament that they probably don’t want to be in.

Obviously they weren’t favourites in any of the games because they’re 19th in the league. That doesn’t mean that in a do or die situation against teams with less to play for they weren’t winnable fixtures. 1 point is a very poor return regardless of the fixtures.

I never said it was a good return by any stretch but I think winnable & likely are 2 different things, anything can be winnable I guess there's always a chance but whether that chance can be capitalised on is another thing.

He celebrated goals like Corporal Jones, as if he'd forgotten which side he was in charge of.
He made absolutely no difference whatsoever to there form, or structure. A dinosaur long past his sell by date. It doesn't detract from his past achievements, but he has no future in management.

I think if they had gone for Big Sam rather than Javi Garcia (or even stuck with Yank Lampard) then they might well have been okay

But a lot of their signings flopped, or got injured, and players that have had good seasons didn't this time around

No loss to the PL like though
