Barnsley v Owls Playoff
What do we think about this one?
I'm assuming most Clarets will be rooting for Michael Duffs lads, and i think they might just do it.
2-1.
Come on, Duffer!!

Already a better atmosphere than the Luton v Coventry game.

I feel Sheff Wed will suffer the emotional strain that 2nd leg took out of them.

Poor quality so far. Trying to count gow many times the commentator says Barry Bannan
Re: Barnsley v Owls Playoff
I can see this match being abandoned, it’s 17degrees out there , 2 drink breaks already, ridiculous to expect players to cope with that heat .

Re: Barnsley v Owls Playoff
Agree about the quality, or lack of it. For all the people on here saying that Twine lacks physicality how the hell was he top scorer in this division two seasons ago. It looks like you have to be a right bruiser to hold your own going off this game.Silkyskills1 wrote: ↑Mon May 29, 2023 3:38 pmPoor quality so far. There’s a very cold wind in LDN today and currently 17 degrees.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Mon May 29, 2023 3:46 pmIt’s hotter than that outside my house. I can imagine it could be pushing 30 at Wembley.

16 degrees just before kick off at Wembley. 17 degrees currently. Two drinks breaks and that numpty of a commentator referring to 'the heat' inside Wembley.

Didn’t realise Barnsley also had former Clarets Josh Benson and Adam Phillips too.

Phillips look to be one of the better players on the pitch. Had a very good season.

Yellow at most.
Re: Barnsley v Owls Playoff
That’s very, very harsh on Barnsley. First a stone wall penalty not given and then that’s not a red.

Absolute joke!
Penalty for Barnsley not given, red card given which is never a red upheld.

Re: Barnsley v Owls Playoff
Really harsh red, especially when you look at the penalty turned down 90 secs earlier. VAR is a closet Wednesday fan.
Re: Barnsley v Owls Playoff
Penalty for Barnsley not given and then a harsh red card. Bad refereeing.

Re: Barnsley v Owls Playoff
Agree with other comments. Should have been a pen and then that’s not a red card. Yet VAR doesn’t even have him look at the monitor.

Harsh, it's ridiculous.
Re: Barnsley v Owls Playoff
Definite penalty but I can see why a red card was given though would have expected VAR to ask the ref to take a look.

2 scandalous var decisions, pen not given to Barnsley and red guard for a yellow card challenge.. appalling refereeing and var decisions
