Premier League Odds
Is this the first time we haven't been one of the 3 favourites for relegation?

Re: Premier League Odds
Corals 250/1 for City to be relegated !!!!!!!!!! lol - surely some zero's missing in that price
Re: Premier League Odds
I think there's a bit of value in Wolves and Palace but I've been wrong about Palace before
Re: Premier League Odds
Wolves might struggle as they need to sell to buy.
Re: Premier League Odds
I guess the chances are higher due to the FFP hanging over them. Small chance that they could be relegated as punishment. There is surely no chance of them being relegated in any normal way.kenyon6923 wrote: ↑Tue May 30, 2023 10:40 amCorals 250/1 for City to be relegated !!!!!!!!!! lol - surely some zero's missing in that price

Re: Premier League Odds
Moutinhio is out of contract, Jonny is leaving and Neves and Jiminez are expected to also go as they only have 1 year left and seemingly don't want to sign a new deal. I think they could seriously struggle if Lopetegui walks

Re: Premier League Odds
Think Everton are the best bet in that list.
Strong chance they will be in the bottom 6 whatever happens but could be firmly in the mire with a points deduction.

Re: Premier League Odds
They are struggling because of FFP and they might not make a lot if there is only 12 months of contracts left. Won't be much money to strengthen with.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Tue May 30, 2023 7:08 pmMoutinhio is out of contract, Jonny is leaving and Neves and Jiminez are expected to also go as they only have 1 year left and seemingly don't want to sign a new deal. Re: Premier League Odds
From the article in the Athletic it sounds like the players want out, Jiminez stormed out after not being used in the last home game v Everton, Neves was taken off in the 88th minute for an ovation
Re: Premier League Odds
Luton. Wolves and Forest for me
Re: Premier League Odds
Odds are changing now after teams have started signing players. We are moving up the table . I can see the Wolves manager walking if they don't give him money as there was mention earlier that he wouldn't stay if he couldn't sign players.

Re: Premier League Odds
Sheffield United are knackered already, the owner wants to sell and their best player has just been left.

I think Brentford will really struggle this season.

Re: Premier League Odds
I'd include Bournemouth and Palace in the list. Palace without Zaha scoring could be an issue, not the greatest squads.
Think West Ham will be fine, and Everton will be too with some shrewd signings.
Top half finish bet to be placed for us.

Suspect our transfer business and performance in friendlies may have made us more of a serious team with all the bookmakers in the past few weeks

Re: Premier League Odds
Surprised Bournemouth are so low to be honest. They have made a brilliant managerial appointment.
Luton, Sheff Utd and Wolves for me. Though hoping Luton survive and Everton drop instead.

I wouldn't discount Bournemouth, Palace and Forest being down there as well.gandhisflipflop wrote: ↑Wed Aug 02, 2023 12:21 pmSheffield United

So that's 9 in the relegation battle which means a top 11 place for us
Re: Premier League Odds
Luton, Brentford, Wolves and Sheffield United look the most likely to drop but honestly, who knows. Hopefully Everton and West Ham get dragged into it too.

Re: Premier League Odds
Can’t see it, they have looked really really strong pre season. As have Brighton Tbf.
I think the top half of the table pretty much picks it self.
The top 6 (big teams) will be up there.
Then it will be Brentford, Brighton, Newcastle and Aston Villa fighting for the other top 10 positions.
After that it’s anyone’s guess. There’s some very strong teams in that bottom half of the table.
I can see us finishing around 14th

Re: Premier League Odds
Can anyone explain the "Season Handicap" bet to me on that link?
Re: Premier League Odds
I think with Newcastle's money it's a big 7 now. They'll be well in the shake up for the top 4 again.Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Wed Aug 02, 2023 4:01 pmCan’t see it, they have looked really really strong pre season. As have Brighton Tbf.

Re: Premier League Odds
You bet on the number of points your team is from the winners. They have basically given us a 48 point start. I did it when we went up the first time with Dyche and won about £2k. We were one of the favourites for relegation so they gave good odds and a good start. They don't look bad odds, 14/1 with +48. Unless City go mad and get over 100 .CaptainKirk wrote: ↑Wed Aug 02, 2023 4:03 pmCan anyone explain the "Season Handicap" bet to me on that link?

Wolves - Another Club that had fans dreaming about being in the Champions League and established in the Top 4 within a couple of years after being taken over by Fosun.
Re: Premier League Odds
What's happening with Everton and the potential of a points deduction and FFP.

Some good odds a few weeks ago, I stuck £50 on us for a Finnish in the top half @ 6/1

Re: Premier League Odds
I'm pleased the other poster won their handicap bet but their answer to your question of how it works is more than a bit misleading.CaptainKirk wrote: ↑Wed Aug 02, 2023 4:03 pmCan anyone explain the "Season Handicap" bet to me on that link?
Burnley get +48 but all those other handicqps for all those other teams also get added to their respective points total. It's not just a case of Burnley having to be within 48 points of the leaders as the other poster suggested but add all the handicaps to all the teams actual points total and then Burnley would need to be top of that league.
I've had a decent bet on us in the handicap but I think Aston Villa (+36) are the main threat.
