Hope you find owners, looking at the dog it's obviously healthy and the sort of dog an elderly person has, hopefully just sneaked out.

Re: Found a dog this morning
UPDATE
It's name is Milo it's a Dachshund Jack Russell cross and three years old, I took it to the vets at the top of Colne but when they checked it's Microchip the phone number was out of date they said the dog warden would pick it up, but I put it's picture on Facebook and within 20 minutes someone contacted me and said it's her friend's dog.
She sent me her number so I told her to ring the vets, I ended up running her and her young daughter to the vets in colne because she doesn't drive this dog has cost me a day's work and a small valet because it threw up x3 all over my front seat and footwell but worth every single penny to see them all reunited, the women cried all the way home hugging her dog, bloody thing got a tear out of me and that's hard to do

I noted that the owner doesn’t drive so that may well have been the dogs first journey in a car hence the travel sickness.

Do we know how the dog got out in the first place? We can't have a thread this genuine and nice without having something to complain about surely...

Re: Found a dog this morning
Throwing up x 3 seemed a bit extreme so I wondered if it was nerves rather than something it had eaten.
Some dogs almost go berserk in cars which can result in an accident with larger breeds.

Re: Found a dog this morning
Just come back from a few meetings to read this thread.
Very heartwarming and well done Agent Claret for taking the initiative and then some in sorting it all out for the lady. Knowing the relationship that many people have with their dogs she would have been absolutely distraught when it went missing and I’m not surprised she was in tears - but guess it was tears of relief and happiness.
I’ve got half a bottle of Fabreze if you want it - in true UTC spirit it’s yours at a 7.5% discount.

It was never really in much doubt as soon as I saw the picture the owner would be found, it's not very often people abandon them kind of dogs & the owner would be trying to find it, that said the OP sure as hell did the right thing & credit for the good deed hopefully good karma will come back for him.
