British Tennis player and former US Open Champion Emma Raducanu has apparently severed ties with her 5th Coach in less than 2 years !

Apparently, on the ladies tennis circuit, she's now known as " Miss Watford " !! :D

A apt name!!

Does there come a point where you need to start looking closer to home? She’s had injury problems to be fair to her but I do wonder quite how well she is being advised by those closest to her.

Winning that title so soon may prove to be more of a hindrance than a help in her career. Too much expectation from outside circles and possibly within too.

Reminds me of Victoria Beckham, kept changing her manager when her solo career flopped. Some people can’t admit it’s their fault.

1) why do only old people always love tennis?

2) why's it called "the tennis"

"The" any sport you like is very Talksport. "Now over to the rugby..." or any sport really.

She should crawl to say “please” to the fella that coached her to the US Open.

Can’t understand why she’s gets abuse when she’s been our most successful woman tennis player in years! Hope she gets back on track. Pretty sure you don’t win a tennis major by fluke.

I was given pelters on here for criticising her after she fired her coach after winning

Looking from the outside it seems she has a very pushy father. Often the way with these prodigious young talents. Suspect it's him falling out with the coaches as much as her.

Perhaps tellingly, her tournament win in the US Open came during lockdown when her father was unable to travel with her.

My suspicion exactly, together perhaps with having her eye turned with the money coming in from endorsements, sponsors etc ..

Tennis is loved by all, mostly near Wimbledon, when there is a surge of court hires.

It was not until the 16th century that rackets came into use and the game began to be called "tennis", from the French term tenez, which can be translated as "hold!", "receive!" or "take!", an interjection used as a call from the server to his opponent.

Not sure if it was intentional but you make it sound quite kinky Ian. There might be a surge in interest.....

It's worth noting that coaches barely get paid when the players aren't playing. With her record I'm not surprised she's had a few in a few years. If I wasn't getting paid I wouldn't hang around in my job for long.

I regularly go to a tennis court - to play walking football!
