Rovers on the up?

Season ticket sales booming down the M65.... Now standing not far short of 7k already with another couple of months to get them over that 10k barrier once again this season.

Heady days for our horse-humping neighbours and with the persistent rumours of bids for Shamrock Rovers highly rated Albanian international (Spurs and Samodoria trialist too) Justin Ferizaj, it's hard to deny that the future at Ewood is starting to look pretty rosy.

They face a fierce battle with Accy Stanley next season for the title of East Lancashire’s second best club.

Are their season tickets actually on sale? Or do they just pop along and pick them up off the counter? Free kids tickets surely included in the 7K figure?

Roles will reverse at some point as they have done over the years and their top drawer trophies are far more than ours
But I will enjoy looking down for as long as it lasts

The few that still appear every now and again and chirp up never fail to amuse.

Teenagers talking about them winning the league, what memories they must have from about 10 year before they were born. Not quite as desperate though as celebrating beating the Post Office and Queens Park in front of crowds of around 2000 in the 1880s.

Makes you wonder why they are so bitter with all these amazing memories to cling to

Even that clown Glen Mullan is boycotting again this season.

Doesn't he boycott at the start of every season only to return for glamour cup ties as well as if they are near the top 6.

Poor Glen must be getting really close to putting his dossier in the public domain which would force the Venkys to leave as he has threatened to do just about every season since they have been there.

I heard they nailed 10,000 of them to the gates outside and people flocked down. You can never have too many nails :D

I think there's mutterings of a general boycott around the start of every season, only for it to fizzle out when the actual football starts.

Some of the thickos haven't twigged yet that if there aint no Venkys there aint no Rovers.

It's a flexible boycott that's allowed to be paused in the event of a big cup game or a sniff of promotion.

They have scratch & sniff season tickets, one scratch & the essence of a stable with dirty manure in it.

Really ? I'd say it's only FA cups where they've done better than us, they've won 6 and 5 of them were in the 1800s, proper hob nail boots job.
