The video at that link is beyond cringeworthy when he swears and then forgets the question! Looks like he was losing the plot.

Phil Neville is the embodiment of "who you know."

Colin Millar of The Mirror tweeted this.

"Reminder that Phil Neville has been appointed coach/manager by his former boss David Moyes, his business partner Peter Lim, his brother Gary, by a board including himself and multiple business partners, at a job at which he did not interview and by business partner David Beckham."

He's been binned because Inter Miami (cringiest name in football?) are bottom of the Eastern Conference. But with no promotion/relegation, what does it matter? What's the point? What are the stakes? I suppose attendances would drop over time, there's that.

A work environment in lovely sunshine with the added bonus of a big pay day to top up your pension. Wouldn’t we all grab it if we could. Not unlike a few premiership managers really (apart from the weather). “ Don’t worry dearest wife/partner I’ll give it all I’ve got, if it doesn’t work out I’ll still be paid off a few million quid, keep you in handbags for a while until I move on to the next job that comes along”.

I like the Neville’s. Always come across as decent types. Good luck to him.

No doubt the BBC and or SKY can now use him as a pundit again, having done this prior to his spell in Miami. Then he can offer critical analysis on other teams, players and managers.

The Neville brothers were like the Charlton brothers when it came to playing the game, top players, however when it comes to coaching and managing they are strictly the Chuckle brothers.

I think you will find that Jack Charlton was very successful.

Jack Charlton was extremely successful as a manager, but I was trying to think of 2 brothers who were brilliant at playing and the obvious choice are the Charltons.

I'd hate to have to play football in it - even at 8pm at night. It's the humidity that does for you......

Having spent June to September 2015 there I'm more than happy to concur with this one, Outside it's a sauna inside everywhere has zub-zero air conditioning

Miami FC, Miami City, Miami Rangers, Miami Rovers etc etc.
But they must have pondered long and hard over Miami Utd !

We won the Gulf Coast Summer League one year basically because the other teams forfeited pretty much all the games whereas we would at least turn up 😂😂
