After what, in the main, had been a very poor couple of decades from the mid/late 1970s I think that on reflection, this appointment set the ball rolling towards the phenomenal times we're currently enjoying.
Stan is doubtlessly one of my favourite ever BFC managers and we were certainly just about to embark on a very interesting few years!
Looking forward to this feature.

Interesting understates it somewhat

I remember the rumours and was very glad when ST came (back) to TM.

On the whole, he did a good job and, of course, Mr Kilby was there too.

Thought it was a good appointment at the time, turned out to have been the best appointment since the 70's in my opinion. Great manager, wonderful caracter.

You knew where you stood with Stan. I love the guy. He picked this club up by its boot straps and had us facing forwards when he left.

If Stan hadn't come, we probably wouldn't be where we are now.

No chance without Stan. He lifted standards and expectations enormously. If it hadn't been for the ITV Digital collapse I think he'd have taken us to the Prem.

25 years - wow

Stan was the catalyst to our success, no doubt about it.

It's a testament to Stan's reign that very few will consider an encounter with him as being anything but positive. Just seeing him raises the spirits

Just got to the Blackpool game in the IOM, with a classic performance from the Beast. Absolute shambles for their goal, then saves 3 pens in the shoot out.
