Going back a bit further Herbert Chapman was regarded as one of the great managers as well.4:20 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 05, 2023 8:56 amGoing off Google's list and the first 10 who we've played against. Am I right in saying we've won against all of them except Pep?

Still seems weird that Carlo Ancelotti managed Everton.

Gunter Mahlmann came to the Turf in early 1961 with quite a reputation......and left wishing he'd chosen a different occupation.

Re: Burnley Vs Great managers
And then minutes 09:00 - 09:30 the following morning, the moaning Portugese windbag took over the Sunday morning programme on Sky Sports to try and place the blame on his side not beating little old Burnley on incompetent officiating, rather than the ill disciplined behaviour of his multi million pound players. A certain Chelsea supporting mate of mine from Burnley still mentions the "disgraceful foul" by Barnes on Matic that led to the red card. Even though it was a pass.....

Re: Burnley Vs Great managers
If we're counting penalties wasn't Phil Scholari manager of Chelsea when we qualified for the next round of the league cup at Stamford Bridge?
World cup winning manager I think.

So many at Chelsea it’s difficult to remember who and when but it was Scolari when we won that shoot out.Chadderton_Dan wrote: ↑Mon Jun 05, 2023 2:14 pmIf we're counting penalties wasn't Phil Scholari manager of Chelsea when we qualified for the next round of the league cup at Stamford Bridge?

Re: Burnley Vs Great managers
I'm thinking Brian Clough when he was Derby Manager...can't remember us beating Forest when he was there.....
Re: Burnley Vs Great managers
If you're going with Arsenal Wenger then you've surely got to have Jurgen Kop4:20 wrote: ↑Mon Jun 05, 2023 8:56 amGoing off Google's list and the first 10 who we've played against. Am I right in saying we've won against all of them except Pep?
