Delighted for him and his family, especially his grandad. Great player for us and gave his all as a manager. Took a lot of unnecessary stick at times.

His Grandad was some player, let's hope he is as good as him.

Great news. Promotion will, I think, have made contractual decisions more difficult.

Obvious bias for older fans. Just to see his name in the different youth teams and then on the first-team sheet (once?) means something to us all.

But that won't have been a factor in the decision-making process, of course. The lad is worth the deal regardless of who his granddad is.

Congratulations, Charlie and good luck!

Always good to see a local lad in and around the squad. It’ll be interesting whether we look to loan him out for the experience or keep him as 3rd choice

I couldn’t agree more - when he was first on the bench for the youth team I had to do some quick investigation to see if he was a relative - I asked his dad Chris. Something just right about having a Casper on the list of players.

Still baffled how Frank’s son could be a defender and his son a goalkeeper. Was good to see Frank at the last u21 game on the Turf recently too.

Really chuffed for the lad and hope he as a long career with us . Always remember is Grandad bring Chris down to our little park ( Fulledge ) and me and my mates were there playing and Frank was watching us and he was very complimentary to us as a couple later had trials but not Burnley unfortunately as Bob didn't like local lad's .
