The Football League have also introduced a multi ball system with balls strategically placed around the perimeter.

That will work well…. Not.

Just like last time, numbtys will just throw the ball on the field from the stands.

I hope the banning of towels will be successful. An inordinate amount of time was wasted in games as players went through their ritual before throwing the ball.
Can't understand why it's still allowed in the Premier league though.

Not sure what the rules are in the Premier League but the decision made yesterday was at the Football League AGM so is effective in their three divisions. It’s an attempt to cut down on wasted time.

100% agree, it was ridiculous in some games. Sheffield United were particularly bad for this.

The daily mail article about it pays attention to a Wrexham player who's their long throw specialist...

I suppose any rules changes that effect them will make it bigger news now

Its been brought in due to being unfair in games where the home side have the towel but the away team dont

Gary Johnson threw a second ball on to the Turf to stop play after we took a quick throw in and were overrunning Bris City near the end of the game either chasing a goal to win or draw the match
Easy to abuse the system

Remember that. They were leading 0-1 in a game just after Christmas and he blatantly threw the ball onto the pitch to disrupt the game. Must be 13/14 years since now.

I thought this thread was about towels in pubs and their demise. The Ministry of Ale had the same one for years, the away fans weren't to know so would always use it. Whatever happened to that towel?

ALL towels should be banned. After a shower, just drip until you dry!
