Tomorrow's fixtures - a warning to posters
Should anyone post on this board any information on next season's fixtures before they are published at 9 am tomorrow, then they will find their accounts immediately suspended.
I am not allowing this site to be put at risk.

Re: Tomorrow's fixtures - a warning to posters
It definitely won't be Blackburn first game because we got promoted and they didn't.

Re: Tomorrow's fixtures - a warning to posters
What about a first fixture sweep, a bit like the first goal sweep, that would be fun. Not a lot of time for CT to set it up though now
Re: Tomorrow's fixtures - a warning to posters
The only parts of a fixture list that might be of any interest to me would be first home game, Boxing Day perhaps and last home game. Other than that I'm not even slightly bothered.
Re: Tomorrow's fixtures - a warning to posters
why can folk cannot just wait until the official fixtures are announced

How do people get them before they are officially released?

Re: Tomorrow's fixtures - a warning to posters
The fixtures are embargoed. If that embargo is broken, we can be prevented from publishing fixtures on this site. Simple as that.ClaretsPadiham wrote: ↑Wed Jun 14, 2023 5:38 pmAt risk of what ?

Tony puts a great deal of time and effort into this board to give us a lively forum for comment, debate and trips down memory lane .. Clearly some don't know of the " embargo " system used widely for Press releases, Government statements, Company announcements etc. Information is released early on an " embargo " basis, for example, to allow the Press to publish thorough detail and analysis of " The Budget ". This is done on trust, and anyone party to information being published early, can face legal action or exclusion ...
CT is busy enough without replying to solicitors letters etc ...

Perhaps they wouldn't be released to the site, so they couldn't be posted?Hurstwood_Claret wrote: ↑Wed Jun 14, 2023 6:05 pmWho will ‘prevent you’ from publishing fixtures on the website?

I can contain my excitement until they are released officially.
I’d be keen to avoid city, Liverpool and Arsenal for a few weeks

Sometimes you do wonder how much some on here sh1t their pants when they first pressed 'google search'.
There are still numerous posters that are petrified of a firestick.

You’d imagine Talksport’s capacity to deal with any lawsuit might be greater than UTCs. Maybe PPP will represent pro bono?Flying Without Ings wrote: ↑Wed Jun 14, 2023 7:03 pmTalksport and various other pages, websites and accounts are going to be in trouble then, it’s been leaked everywhere.

Re: Tomorrow's fixtures - a warning to posters
Tony has made a simple request.
He doesn’t want to take the risk, even if there’s a >1% chance of the site getting into trouble.
Why question it? He has asked (warned) people fairly and let people know where they stand.
His request is not unreasonable.
Surely it deserves respect?

Re: Tomorrow's fixtures - a warning to posters
Why are people even questioning Tonys request?? Is it that hard to just accept a request rather than try and be the big ‘I Am’!
