Unfortunately for them they are in a market closely surrounded by 3 big teams, the 2 Sheffields and Leeds. Accy have the same problem but slightly worse as their bigger teams are all VERY close, Man Utd, The Stablemen and us and they are a smaller town.

I can see him doing well at Swansea, I remember the players used to laugh at him for his lack of ‘flash’ (think he was driving a Fiesta, if memory serves), but it’s that levelheadedness that has helped him pick the bits he wants out of some top notch managers and put together his model. Chuffed for him.

Looks a solid appointment by Swansea. Duff is clearly a very competent manager who has done extremely well in his two posts so far.

Be interesting to see if he adapts his more pragmatic style to a more possession-based style now he's at Swansea. Their chairman has already made reference to him fitting into the 'Swansea way'.

I know they didn’t have the most amazing campaign, but Swansea away was one of my most anxious games this season. Whenever they went on the attack I felt they were going to score. Obviously, they didn’t-
there lies the issue- but feel that their strategy needs very little refinement for them to make a real stab at it this year.
