That was never a penalty. Corruption at its finest. Didn’t want England to win.

He looked outrageously calm for that penalty.

Re: U21 Euro Final on TV
£19m? Bargain.
Would have been £25m if we’d waited till now.

Re: U21 Euro Final on TV
Zero goals conceded.
Special mention to THB, doesn't get the attention but this lad goes about his business.
I'd break the bank for him even if it cost <25m.

What a finish to a drab game. I reckon have signed another top English keeper.

Re: U21 Euro Final on TV
Just a random observation but I wonder if an Englad team has ever had so many double barrelled names in the starting eleven? Harwood-Bellis, Gibbs-White and Smith-Rowe.

Re: U21 Euro Final on TV
Yeah, it’s a shame he isn’t coming back seemingly. If we really are switching to three centre backs I’m perplexed why we haven’t moved in. He was so, so, good. Seems a really nice lad and I think he’s going to have a top career for club and country.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Sat Jul 08, 2023 7:22 pmI'd love us to get THB, he clearly loved playing for us too.

Sign of the times, they are all born out of wedlock and take on both the Suriname of mother and the father.
In Game of the Thrones these lads would known as
Bastards.

The penalty was a diabolical decision. Imagine if it’d have deprived them of the win.

I can confirm this.
JT comes from a farming family in Greysouthen, a few miles outside Cockermouth.
I too live in a farming village, and some of my neighbours know the Traffords well.

I didn’t see the game, did he catch the penalty? If not, he’s no good for us.

He knocked back into play so that he could make a second save. Brilliant

I don't know the family personally, but I'm told they are well liked and respected in the local farming community.ClaretTony wrote: ↑Sat Jul 08, 2023 8:49 pmI wondered whether you knew him when I saw where he was from
James Trafford went to Cockermouth School, as did Ben Stokes ( although not at the same time ).

Re: U21 Euro Final on TV
I find it really strange that media outlets are already referring to him as the Burnley keeper (clearly he is but strange when there’s been no word as of yet from the club). The Sky sports match report refers to him as the Burnley keeper on multiple occasions.
Re: U21 Euro Final on TV
They’ll want all the media stuff ready before they announce it and he’s been away. Sure it’ll be announced sometime next week.PremierLeagueClass wrote: ↑Sat Jul 08, 2023 10:16 pmI find it really strange that media outlets are already referring to him as the Burnley keeper (clearly he is but strange when there’s been no word as of yet from the club).
