Led Zeppelin & Pink Floyd.

No doubt some will say that neither are overrated.

I totally agree with that, but unfortunately there isn't a thread titled "Vastly Overrated things" ;)

Janis Joplin did the bluesy vocal gymnastics much better than Robert Plant and Jimmy Page is a nonce as was Bowie.
Add McCartney to the vastly overrated list, George Harrison was the talent in that band

Snob appeal, along with those lumps of snot they call oysters.
I can get hold of lobster for not much more than some folk on the mainland pay for chicken breast. Fisherman up the road often feeds it to his labrador.
For some reason (price?) it's a status food elsewhere, but around these parts most people would choose crab without hesitation if given the choice.

Can’t stand oysters.

Really like crab but absolutely love lobster - and it’s nothing to do with snob appeal.

Onion rings.

Not onion rings in a bag of crisp sense. But those horrific things you occasionally get served up with, for example, a steak.

Absolutely no taste of onion, just mush with batter. Find it bizarre what people see in them.

TBF, a proper onion ring is what it says, a ring of onion in batter. Those mushy things are generally served on a mixed grill in a Brewers Fayre

Yeah Led Zep have some horrific stories from the road.

A lot of 70s rock bands have done some really horrific stuff. Can’t listen to them anymore knowing this sort of stuff.

(Not to mention they ripped bluesmen and gave them
0 credit)

Bowie and Page reportedly shared Lori Maddox at one point. Passed her around at 14. Where is the difference between that and the grooming gangs of Northern England?

A rather bizzare comparison , though if you multiply it by 10’000’s of victims across the country , lower the ages a bit it might have some parity .

The real Dermot - I’m sure that you all know him - constantly sends me clips of Peter Hammill videos. I must confess to finding them torturous to watch.

It’s a strange one. People from Burnley seem to have been brain washed into thinking him to be some sort of genius whereas everyone else thinks he sucks.
