Venkys
Re: Venkys
It reads, I think as it is a bit confusing, as if they have lied about money going out to use as another business over here. Does that mean it is to do with the money they have been putting into Rovers?
Re: Venkys
That thread on BRFCS is hilarious.
The only joy they get from football currently, is seeing us losing to some of the best teams in world football.

There was one of their supporters with a similar name to tomphil (phil thomson or tomlinson) who was Chorley based and a few year back when we were due to play at Bolton warned Burnley fans they better not be in his local in Chorley pub due to his hatred of all things Burnley. Sure enough the morning of the match quite a few Burnley were in the pub he used before he got the train to Blackburn and he never said a word and left quietly. When he was mocked for being an internet gobshite he became more and more obsessed with anything Burnley until he I presume could no longer cope and just vanished.
It is probably an easy mistake to think the guys who's post you have highlighted is the same guy just because he is thick as most of them are but would be no shock if it was the same guy.
I wonder if the other goon Glen Mullan is claiming he has exposed the venkys to the Government and his deluded disciples are patting him on the back for finally dusting off his dosier.

I think you mean men; there have been 3 of them in total that we know of, and on of them has been at it a few times. If you think about it seriously then no, it’s not funny, it’s sick. What is funny is that after years of them have a few things over us those little nuggets allowed us some ammo against them for a bit.daveisaclaret wrote: ↑Thu Sep 07, 2023 11:08 amDo you lot really think it's funny that a man in Blackburn once interfered with a horse?

Still dodgy times. The Venkys not giving financial assurances is quite interesting.

I think we need to be very careful whilst gloating over our neighbours demise. Remember, our clubs fortunes are being promoted on the back of a leveraged deal which means the investors don't actually put a lot of their own money in. We have just splurged in excess of £100m on players the majority of us have never heard of never mind pronounce.
Relegation will be a disaster for our club and we've bet the farm on staying up. Our busines model is to turn these unknowns, bought on the back of prozone and opta stats, and various data points, and sell them for a profit assuming they get enough game time to improve. That doesn't leave a lot of room on the pitch for marginal players like cork and Taylor as their values are unlikely to increase.
I'm sure the investors mean well but when things start to go tits up they tend to take the money and head for the hills no matter how genuine they seem.

That's a hammer blow to the medallion toting party animal Balaji, he may need bailing out by Akon.
Re: Venkys
Who do you know who depends on them who are not Rovers fans? Could these nameless people who you know not find other jobs? There may well be illegalities involved here.
Re: Venkys
As I have said in the past , even the quieter of their fans were giving it party time in 1987.

Re: Venkys
A few things online suggesting that this won’t have any impact on Rovers.
However, unless I’ve totally misunderstood it, the investigation and subsequent seizing of assets is based on the monies transferred from India to London, that being the money Venkys have pumped in at regular intervals to keep things ticking over. In essence by seizing their assets the Venkys are paying double.
Surely that means there is no more money where the last lot came from? What happens when they need their next injection. Do Venkys drop them £20 m and have a further £20m of assets seized?
Will Venkys try and bail out by writing off the debt and handing the club to new owners? Possibly but then will the Indian authorities allow that?
Whilst it may not be an immediate issue for Rovers, it surely can’t be good news!

The grovelling, embarrassing, banjo playing horse fiddlers will suck up to someone else begging them to buy the financial cesspit that is Deadwood. Has there ever been something as cringy as them pleading with a fourth rate celebrity to buy their club ?
I hope they get liquidated and start again on Shadsworth rec.

Iam sure one of Burnley's cricket professionals gets a monthly cheque from venkys, unless he's changed jobs recently.

All I need to know is where he works, and know that their monthly wage bill is paid by Venkys, via the Bank of India.
