Ran into the centre but no one to pass to. Then there was a pass back, which she didn't do, so just ran into the wall. Poor.Croydon Claret wrote: ↑Sun Aug 20, 2023 11:32 amThat came from Bronze trying to be Georgina Best in the centre circle

Need to get on the front foot here, poor stuff from England so far.

Both teams have some good players, but it’s a bit like watching one of those celebrity charity football matches.
Not all that enjoyable, really.

That last England chance should have been a corner?
Re: England v Spain - World cup final
England could have scored but the cross looked offside so probably wouldn't have counted anyway

Seems extremely generous when all it takes is a scrappy set piece to equalise and it to go to penalties.

I think she’s an athlete but obviously that fades with agedougcollins wrote: ↑Sun Aug 20, 2023 11:56 amI've always struggled to see anything in her play that merits her reputation (and value).
It’s just the arrogance of telling the other player where to be rather than just playing what’s in front of you, that irks me

Shoe would have had to have placed her arm into an unnatural position to avoid the ball

real shame we’ve looked off it against a good Spanish side. We can play much better than this, similar to the men’s final in that sense

To the letter of the law it was a penalty. In reality these should never be.

In fact looking at the replay, it should probably have been retaken, looked off the line well before the ball was kicked.

Yeah I agree, not keen at all. If it takes 5 minutes to make a decision it’s not clear & obvious, not what VAR should be used for but we’ve had this argument and debate on here many timesRick_Muller wrote: ↑Sun Aug 20, 2023 12:28 pmTo the letter of the law it was a penalty.
