Re: Hansi Flick
I think he’s been on borrowed time for a while but Germany haven’t had that good a side for quite some time now.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Sun Sep 10, 2023 3:55 pmsacked by Germany after they lost 1-4 to Japan yesterday !

Re: Hansi Flick
they've got a very good talent pool though for the most part. ShameClaretTony wrote: ↑Sun Sep 10, 2023 4:06 pmI think he’s been on borrowed time for a while but Germany haven’t had that good a side for quite some time now.
Re: Hansi Flick
Sounds like a German euphemism for bashing the bishop.

Re: Hansi Flick
Some quality but not the stars the previous generations had at their disposal. As in England imports are robbing young talent of top league experience.Vegas Claret wrote: ↑Sun Sep 10, 2023 4:24 pmthey've got a very good talent pool though for the most part. Shame

Never the same after he left “Allo, allo”

Where as I think England have the most talented squad of my lifetime. No issues with the lads that will play lacking game time that I can see.Tricky Trevor wrote: ↑Sun Sep 10, 2023 5:30 pmSome quality but not the stars the previous generations had at their disposal. Not convinced the manager is good enough though,

Re: Hansi Flick
Can’t argue with your point but there will be even more out there that never play in the PL because of the pre-eminence of overseas talent.arise_sir_charge wrote: ↑Sun Sep 10, 2023 10:19 pmWhere as I think England have the most talented squad of my lifetime. Germany until fairly recently has been an internal talent league. As more and more foreigners take starting positions the national team has gone backwards.

Re: Hansi Flick
I don’t think it’s that deep - all the big clubs, Bayern, Dortmund, Schalke - have a long history of blooding young German players and still do. I just don’t think the same quality is coming through or, of the ones that are making it, they just don’t seem to be firing at the moment, e.g. Havertz.

Re: Hansi Flick
Did anyone notice Rudiger not even bothering to cover back - and others etc...
The Players have got him sacked. Terrible affort and attitude.
Something not right with that camp...

Re: Hansi Flick
It's stange. The Germans are known for being so clinical, like a well oiled machine but they are miles off it at the minute as are Italy and Spain. Having said that, watching the game against Ukraine yesterday. So are England.
Re: Hansi Flick
How old are you? Under 14? I assumed you missed the Lampard/Gerrard/Scholes/Carrick/Rooney/Rio/Terry/Cole/Campbell era?arise_sir_charge wrote: ↑Sun Sep 10, 2023 10:19 pmWhere as I think England have the most talented squad of my lifetime.
