Tonights football 19-9

Post by Tricky Trevor » Tue Sep 19, 2023 7:29 pm

Watching Newcastle. 0-0, 7 to go. Noticed Yunus Musah, whos name came up in the transfer thread, has gone from Valencia to ACMilan.

Look very ordinary without Joelington. Didn't think I'd be saying that after his first season.

Decided to go with PNE v Brum, see if Preston are worth the hype they're getting
at the moment.

Maybe big Kev Long will come good for City.

Going with Feyenoord v Celtic and my second ex-Claret England keeper of the evening, Joe Hart.

On the evidence so far, the answer is no.

After looking good in the opening game Southampton seem to be struggling so far since.

Ex-Claret Josh Ginnelly has given Swansea the lead at QPR.

Amazing how far Boro have fallen since last season. Carrick was the next big thing, he'll be lucky to get another job atm.

In his defence the loss of Archer, Ramsey and Ackpom leaves a massive hole in his attack.

City have been on a different level to Red Star. And are now losing despite having 22-1 shots, and missing at least 3 absolute sitters

Bizarre substitution just before it happened too. Bernardo Silva replaced by Doku on about 43 minutes. No obvious injury either

Celtic red card and pen for Feyenoord.
Hart saves it.

Another red card for Celtic. Both decisions correct.
First for DGSO, which led to pen.
Second for sliding in studs high into the shin.

Feyenoord 2-0 gone to VAR looks offside. Scrubbed off.

Anyone thinking we were crap getting beat by City should just watch Cities 3rd goal ,like a knife through butter by Rodri.

PNE looked second best for a lot of what i saw tonight...certainly until Birmingham basically scored for them. Birmingham scored and were looking good for a second when a dreadful OG got PNE back in to it. They then scored with their only real attack after that and Birminghams heads dropped.
I believe PNE were second best for much of Saturdays game too against Plymouth. It's a good knack to have to win when largely second best but I've seen nothing from them that suggests that they will stay up there.
