Egan -Riley
Is he still with us and has he had a serious injury?

Re: Egan -Riley
I believe he's still with us, he's a defender and he's currently injured. I think he picked up the injury towards the end of last season when he was on loan at Hibs (where he was pretty highly thought of)

Re: Egan -Riley
Was wanted by PSV in the summer and still only 20 years old - clearly got a lot of potential. I would not write him off yet, but needs a loan at a higher level than the SPL. Maybe we could ship him to a top 6 Championship team in January.

central defender?
Re: Egan -Riley
Went on the bluemoon site when we bought this lad and the city fans were quite angry that he had not come on loan and we had been allowed to buy him, most gave him glowing reports, not sure where he stands in the pecking order but I still think he will come good!

Re: Egan -Riley
My friend is a Hibs fan and highly rated him after his loan spell. He got injured at the end of the season and was supposed to move to PSV, but it fell through because of admin reasons.
Re: Egan -Riley
You’d hope that if he was good enough for PSV then he’d be good enough for us.

Re: Egan -Riley
Come to think about it, wasn't Egan-Riley the guy at the centre of the admin/paperwork cock up right at the death on deadline day? The loan was all agreed and the player was basically on his way out and someone couldn't find the appropriate chit in his (or her) trouser pocket and it all fell through, with the accompanying bad feeling on all sides, including most of all the player. I definitely read that somewhere and I'm thinking it was him.

Re: Egan -Riley
I wonder where that leaves him as a player? He can't have been happy about that.Dark Cloud wrote: ↑Mon Sep 25, 2023 12:39 pmCome to think about it, wasn't Egan-Riley the guy at the centre of the admin/paperwork cock up right at the death on deadline day? Re: Egan -Riley
he is fit, was going to go to PSV but we screwed the paper work up after a delay at their end too. So he's stuck at the moment

The PSV thing is an absolute myth, isn't it? Wasn't going anywhere this summer cos he's injured.

Re: Egan -Riley
One of the PSV directors was kicking off saying that we hadn't submitted the paperwork in time for the move, so I don't think it was a myth.daveisaclaret wrote: ↑Mon Sep 25, 2023 1:31 pmThe PSV thing is an absolute myth, isn't it? Wasn't going anywhere this summer cos he's injured.

Have you got a link to a PSV director kicking off? The story came from a Dutch journo via "sources close to Egan-Riley"FeedTheArf wrote: ↑Mon Sep 25, 2023 1:34 pmOne of the PSV directors was kicking off saying that we hadn't submitted the paperwork in time for the move, so I don't think it was a myth.

Matt Williams said in the interview on BBC Lancs that there were delays on both sides which led to the deal not happeningdaveisaclaret wrote: ↑Mon Sep 25, 2023 1:38 pmHave you got a link to a PSV director kicking off? The story came from a Dutch journo via "sources close to Egan-Riley"

Re: Egan -Riley
Fair point, but as said below, Williams also backed up that PSV were in for him.daveisaclaret wrote: ↑Mon Sep 25, 2023 1:38 pmHave you got a link to a PSV director kicking off? The story came from a Dutch journo via "sources close to Egan-Riley"
Admittedly, it does seem a strange move.
