Best mixed grill or surf and turf ???

Post by ClaretAL » Sat Oct 14, 2023 6:35 pm

I was going to ask on the the uk best 3 course meal thread but didn’t want to hijack it.

I’m partial to a really good and big mixed grill, or surf and turf.

Best I have had locally is mixed grill at the Top Brink in Tod , and 3 fishes for surf and turf. But looking for recommendations?

Best mixed grill I have had was in "Christina's" a small restaurant in Southampton ... sadly no longer there thanks to Lockdowns, rent increases etc ...

Mind you 😉 I am biased as it was my Nephews Restaurant 🙂

Waggoners heading out towards Crawshawbooth was a very good mixed grill I had recently. It is getting very popular so might be best to book if going prime times .

I tried Glenview, and was not impressed to be honest, very cheap cuts and re warmed.

I’ve completed it twice, didn’t even get the sticker, never mind a free meal and I know the owner! 😂
