How to attach photos on a thread from an iPad.
How to attach photos on a thread from an iPad.
Help required please. Can someone remind me how to post photos on here from an iPad? It’s ages since I posted one and being of advancing years I haven’t got a Scooby how to do it?
Thanks in anticipation of sensible replies.

When Ive had trouble attaching in the past, its always been because of the file size; even phone photos are too big as they stand.
Try reducing the file size of the photo you have, saving that then attaching the reduced file.

It's a 2Mb limit per post.

You can add 3 photos per post but all 3 must total less than 2Mb.

Thanks for the advice Trevor. I have now found an app which shrinks photo quality to acceptable Mb and managed to post a photo!Tricky Trevor wrote: ↑Sun Oct 15, 2023 1:12 pmYou can add 3 photos per post but all 3 must total less than 2Mb.

Re: How to attach photos on a thread from an iPad.
I came from the days of taking pics on a camera, downloading to a PC, then using some free software to obtain a URL and finally copy & paste into the thread.
Nowadays you don't even need a camera. Your phone is likely to be good enough without the need for a camera body, lenses, batteries, SD cards......
And you will always have the phone on you when a photo is required
The problem for me is file sizes, especially those that have been edited on the phone. The limit on this message board is 2MP and without editing my pics they are usually a fair way bigger. Some edited snaps go up to 10MB. I have a Google Pixel 6 Pro and will upgrade to the Pixel 8 in the near future. I have never possessed an iPhone or the top of the range Samsungs but I'm assuming that they will bring huge file sizes as well.
That's meant that I have to use an app to reduce the file size and then download this and save to a media file.
Then I can click the attachment button on the thread and search my files for the one that has been reduced. Once found you will see a green light on the attachment and you can finally post.
Surely, there must be an easier method?
