Re: Muric - LOAN?
Would be interesting to know whether people think he should be getting a chance ahead of Trafford.

Re: Muric - LOAN?
Maybe Union Berlin and Sevilla should take both Trafford and Muric on loan so they can take a look at both players and decide who they prefer.

Re: Muric - LOAN?
Can't be loaning him out when he's older than the goalie ahead of him imo - if we don't want him now we won't want him later. Get him sold if needed.

Re: Muric - LOAN?
Dunno, we could have Aro as our Championship keeper and Traff as our Premier League keeper and just let them keep alternating with a season each as number one.daveisaclaret wrote: ↑Tue Oct 24, 2023 6:54 pmCan't be loaning him out when he's older than the goalie ahead of him imo - if we don't want him now we won't want him later. You mean like loaning Twine out but keeping Amdouni, Koleosho and Odabert?daveisaclaret wrote: ↑Tue Oct 24, 2023 6:54 pmCan't be loaning him out when he's older than the goalie ahead of him imo - if we don't want him now we won't want him later. Get him sold if needed.
Re: Muric - LOAN?
As a premier league club unless we were able to bring in another keeper better that Muric then it would be foolish to let go out on loan.

Re: Muric - LOAN?
If Muric leaves, which I don’t think he will for a good while, he’ll be replaced before he goes anywhere.
Re: Muric - LOAN?
Trafford could let in ten goals a game and will still be selected. Should never have started the season until Muric justified being dropped. Poor decision. This isn’t just about healthy competition. If I was Muric I would do one.

Re: Muric - LOAN?
Difference there being Twine probably isn't worth as much as we signed him for and could increase in value at Hull (doesn't sound like it's happening but the theory is good). If two Champions League teams want Muric we should be looking at profit.
Re: Muric - LOAN?
Can only assume clubs interested haven’t yet been told he put Cullen under pressure with a pass against Blackpool in August 2022.

Re: Muric - LOAN?
Muric is said to want to go because of game time or lack of it
Was said to be a loan with an option to buy
Can't understand why he didn't start the season or Zaroury or Benson either
We don't know if he is better or worse than Trafford at this level but I would have liked to see him given a chance

Where have you been since the start of the season?
Almost every thread we have descends into “muric should be starting ahead of Trafford”…. Tiresome if you ask me, but you didn’t, so please disregard.

Probably tried to leave in the summer and had no takers.
No chance he starts for either of the two teams linked so file this alongside Brownhill to West Ham rumours

Re: Muric - LOAN?
I hope Alan puts a block on any move for big Aro, you can bet as soon as he’s sold he pots Kompany and we’re stuck with Trafford letting in four goals every game for the rest of the season

Re: Muric - LOAN?
Problem we have is that we are operating with an almost completely new side for the second season running.
Muric is on of those who should in my opinion have been given his shot at the beginning of the season and kept some of the continuity and feel good factor going in to this season. For me Trafford telegraphs his passes too much as well as being too slow with the ball. It doesn’t look as if we will get the chance to see what Aro can do in this league this season and he may well not be the answer, however Trafford is under immense pressure at the moment for a young lad and his confidence could well be shot. Muric on the other hand looks so laid back at times that the thought of things worrying him doesn’t really enter my mind .

Re: Muric - LOAN?
Muric probably fuming … helped us to promotion and dropped for a 19 year old who is looking shaky to say the least ..:should have been given a change and I think a bit disrespectful for Muric to be treated like this

Re: Muric - LOAN?
If Trafford is going to play regardless then it makes sense for Muric to get some game time elsewhere, so long as it’s at the top level, be it Premier League, La Liga or the Saudi Pro League etc

Re: Muric - LOAN?
Can we loan him into the first team?
In all seriousness I truly believe Muric would have done better so far, but Trafford played really well against Brentford. Our defence and midfield leaves Trafford totally exposed (59 shots on target so far!!!), and it’s no wonder he’s conceded what he has. It’s not all on him at all.
I’d rather we didn’t loan Muric out though.

100% starts for Sevilla over Nyland but you don’t even know who that is you’re just doing your usual negative crap on our own players thing.Newcastleclaret93 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 24, 2023 7:31 pmProbably tried to leave in the summer and had no takers.

Re: Muric - LOAN?
Not necessarily it doesn't, they might get a deal on the cheap because we didn't pay much, the players unhappy and the manager wants him out.daveisaclaret wrote: ↑Tue Oct 24, 2023 7:04 pmDifference there being Twine probably isn't worth as much as we signed him for and could increase in value at Hull (doesn't sound like it's happening but the theory is good). Re: Muric - LOAN?
The depth in which folk look into what is a made up rumour is boggling.
As far as we’re aware he may be perfectly happy fighting for the spot. He’ll get his chance and it’ll be up to him to prove he’s number one.
Least of the problems until January, of which most are inconsequential in the bigger, long term picture.

How much would he be worth if dropped completely??

Re: Muric - LOAN?
Let's be honest, nobody could blame Muric for wanting to play matches. In essence, he's done nothing wrong.
IMHO, there's been a fall-out. By all accounts, he's got a fiery personality.
It would certainly be in his interest to go out on loan.
If VK just quite simply doesn't want him then get another keeper in on loan and let Muric go out to a club where he can regain value for a future sale.
I find it sad because despite not warming to him early doors, I came to admire his uncanny passing ability. He will always "throw one in" but I do honestly feel Trafford needs a break. It's not going to happy and that's that.
