Re: Championship away following
I am surprised by PNE's following. I am not surprised by Blackburn's.

Re: Championship away following
Interesting actually and I assume there was a similar table last season and I'd have been keen to see where we featured and what our stats were, especially after it finished. I guess it's not particularly definitive, especially at this stage of the season as it depends on the fixtures you've had and the distances involved, not to mention kick off times. No surprise who's at the top and (laughingly) bottom, but I see Plymouth come out very well as (unsurprisingly) they seem to have travelled the most miles and are well up the table.
Re: Championship away following
I think us, Sunderland and Cov were consistently in the top 3 last season

Re: Championship away following
Rovers lowest following so far was 429.
You must have to go back a lot of years for us to have taken such low numbers.

But that was Sunday 12 noon KO at Norwich. Their coaches left at 3.30am!Quickenthetempo wrote: ↑Tue Nov 14, 2023 2:36 pmRovers lowest following so far was 429.

I would imagine that was Norwich away for them, don't know the number but when we won at Brighton with Weghorst scoring that was a low turn outQuickenthetempo wrote: ↑Tue Nov 14, 2023 2:36 pmRovers lowest following so far was 429.

Re: Championship away following
Thought Leeds would be higher. Suppose it's skewed because not all clubs will have played at grounds like Ewood, Deepdale and the Ricoh where you get plenty of tickets.

Re: Championship away following
Plymouth always travel pretty well to be fair to them, plus first time at this level for a while.

We had some very low away attendances that season!

Re: Championship away following
Surprised QPR are so high but there's a fair few other teams in and around London. By the time they've played Boro, Sunderland, Hull and Preston etc I'm sure it will be a lot lower.

Re: Championship away following
PNE been travelling in larger numbers because of their good start to the season. Plenty of Plymouth at Deepdale earlier in the season. Very good turnout.

Re: Championship away following
It's all relative dependant on who've you've played, KO times, allocation etc
Some mentioning Plymouth having good away support and whilst I agree they've obviously got long journeys (180 miles to London, 50 miles to Exeter) it's a huge catchment area population 300,000 approx with sizable towns all around without any football teams, they've basically got the SW corner of England to themselves.

These were the final standings last season.Dark Cloud wrote: ↑Tue Nov 14, 2023 1:59 pmInteresting actually and I assume there was a similar table last season and I'd have been keen to see where we featured and what our stats were, especially after it finished.
Blackburn have so far played most of their long distance away games so will finish higher. Preston have played at Blackburn, Rotherham, Hull, Leicester, Stoke in theirs, plus had started the season at the top.

Re: Championship away following
If Blackburn gave us the full allocation, we would have averaged over 200 more.Claretforever wrote: ↑Tue Nov 14, 2023 8:14 pmThese were the final standings last season.
