Had a coffee this morning with two season ticket holders from down the road. They were critical of their team as, in their eyes, they were too lightweight, short in stature, couldn’t score from corners and couldn’t defend corners. I think it was a fair and accurate comment based on our defensive performance so far. We've looked so fragile defensively. Hopefully things will quickly improve.

What makes it even more frustrating is that we arguably have one of the best defenders in Premier League history managing us with it does make fans question his coaching ability or is it being left to the set piece coach if so then you have question Kompanys managerial ability.

First match of the season v Man City and we conceded an early corner which led to their first goal. Jamie Carragher on comms that day said before the corner was taken that it was our weakness last season, not just corners but defending set pieces in general.
