Rookie ref and it showed in his inconsistency. He got as much right as he got wrong. Kind of the Koleosho of refereeing in that respect.
Half decent certainly and enough to show he's got what it takes, albeit in glimpses.

Not much wrong. Some minor stuff with free kick placement which really matters because we are shite defensively. I think there was a few soft free kicks given to them that he didn't award to us similarly. The first pen was sneaky and wouldn't be spotted ordinarily. Seven minutes was a **** take and frustrating given the previous game against Palace. Time keeping needs to be done by off field officials.

How did he only give 1 minute added time in the 1st half?

Good ref, but in fairness it was an easy game to referee. Badly let down by VAR.

Another name to add to the pile of woefully out of their depth, zero understanding of the game referees you get at this level. This guy had the the standard inability to know how to play advantage and not giving the first penalty shout, especially given where he's stood, is just rank bad.

Ok except for failing to award a blatant penalty and awarding a dubious one plus not understanding the advantage 'rule'....

Can’t score but he was excellent. Only complaint would be the non-pen first half but having seen a replay from his view point I can understand why he didn’t give it. VAR should have sent him to the monitor.

Yeah, I didn’t see the same referee as most here. Missed a blatant penalty and has absolutely no idea of the advantage law.
Booked players for imaginary cards though, so that was positive

Man United awarded a penalty today for a much less blatant foul than the first half foul on Koleosho.

Re: RATE THE REF - Sam Barrott v West Ham
I don't actually blame the ref for not initially awarding the penalty because in real time at the ground I actually thought Koleosho had dived and thrown himself down. The clown on VAR could clearly see that this wasn't the case and it's actually a foul. How they couldn't then suggest a rethink I've absolutely no idea!!
Re: RATE THE REF - Sam Barrott v West Ham
Talking of the penalty that wasn’t given, It won’t help I know but I hope VK speaks with Howard Webb about how they arrived at their decision.

He had a good game. In real time, the penalty incident first half didn't look like a penalty in my eyes so can't criticise him for that. Why VAR didn't ask him to go have a look at the monitor given some of the much softer penalties that have been given this season only they know.

Re: RATE THE REF - Sam Barrott v West Ham
Watched it on TV so can't score. Didn't have a bad game but some of the really high scores are puzzling. Failed to give what i thought in normal time was a clear penalty. VAR reviewed it and didn't use the not so secret code "you got it wrong so go through the motions of looking at a screen then changing your mind" so they are equally as culpable. My comments at the time, if that is a Liverpool or Man Utd on the receiving end, that is a penalty all day long. Fast forwards 24 hours and hey presto, a United player is fouled in the box, less contact than the non penalty for the foul on Koleosho. Ref books Martial for diving, then VAR intervenes. No difference between the incidents other than the teams involved, one goes the way of Man Utd, as ever, one goes against us, again as ever.
It's the sheer inconsistency of decisions going for the big clubs and not smaller clubs, even with the "help" of countless replays, freeze frames and artificial lines on the pitch, they still can't get it right. Cost us 2 points at Forest courtesy of Jones and England and had they awarded the first penalty and then the second one, I don't see West Ham coming back from 2-0 down, despite our inability to defend a ball into the box.
