It’s that simple this game is massive. With Luton winning today we are 6 points from safety.

Sheff Utd are the worst team in the league(with us) if they beat us they will have a 4 point advantage over us. A draw isn’t good enough these are the teams we have to beat at home.

0 home wins is depressing we are a laughing stock and just not good enough.

We need a miracle already, VK is too stubborn to change how we play he’s already said it himself, we could realistically set the record for the lowest ever points.

A new manager with a different style of play before it’s too late.

I loved him last season and loved how we played but there’s no time for loyalty when the outcome is so big, he’s clearly not up to it at this level. We are a joke and never learn from mistakes.

We must be the easiest team to do a scouting report on how to beat ever.

No chance VK will go..either by his choice or the owners'.

They'll stick with him when we go down and look to build with this same team until they've nailed it. Whether that is possible remains to be seen...I'd imagine by this time next year if we aren't top 3 in the Championship then it'll be time to go

Sacking Kompany at this point would be a really stupid decision. There's no way another manager comes in and gets more out of this team and there's no way anyone is better placed to bring us back (if things don't improve and we do go down) than him either.

Played well today until the end, which is a pretty stark learning experience for Kompany and the team. But probably a comfortable win long before then if we had a proper centre forward playing.

Any of you 'sack him, jerks' go on today? We weren't very far away from getting all three points, and I thought we played well. Their first goal would have taken some stopping and was well worked. Their second was down to an individual mistake. Yeah, I'm gutted, and that's to say the least. I thought we'd end up with a point. There were way more positives than negatives - pity some of you are too stupid to see this.

Anyway, like I said, I'm gutted. On the bright said, I'm off out for a meal, and a couple in the local later - life carries on, old chum.

If that kind of utter shambles of a return doesn’t warrant the sack then nothing will in your eyes.

His time is up for me now. There is nothing left to come from him at all now. Another 1 tactic wonder.

Unsure if this is healthy but I want him to stay and be accountable for the relegation we deserve. I don't want him paid off so he can get a nice job elsewhere. We are down, so all we lose if he goes is more money in paying him off.

We've put a lot of faith in him, I want him to learn and not walk away. I want him to develop the young team he has built. I want to be in a position where next season we are doing well and playing a style which isn't a 1-0 win with 99.9% possession.

Last year we were in a very poor Championship. Our impressive feat was franked on some worldies and last minute winners. Even against poor opposition we'd give chances, in short we were drunk on the success without necessarily realising that the style of play he advocated was going to be scrutinised at a level we hadn't been close to experiencing. A Prem team at semi strength or bang out of form has been able to check us.

It's his project and he needs to own it.

The problem is that the current team is nowhere near as good as last years team.
Several key players have left and have no experienced leaders.
Of course the Championship is a much easier leagur than the Premier League as well
It was therefore going to be difficult to pick up enough points to stay up and I would imagine that the bottom 3 will not get more than 20 points .
If we go down then it won’t be as easy to bounce straight back with this team as we will no doubt have to sell certain players to recoup money .

Unfortunately, I don't think Kompany can keep us in this league. So I think we either - stick with him and start preparing for next season in the Championship (which is awful after the amount of money we've spent - yo-yoing is not sustainable) or sack him and bring someone else to try and save our season while there's still some hope left.

Many reasons to stick with Kompany, but for me he has changed and become stubborn, and lets be fair he is starting to look totally out of his depths. So for the people that feel he could get us promoted again,when we go down, would you really want to see him back in the PL with us.

When we got promoted in our first season with SD we had a side that cost peanuts, and whilst we got relegated, that side showed more fight and discipline after 13 league games than we have

I'm old enough to remember the travesty of Adamson being hounded out when his "team of the 70s" was struggling in the top flight after promotion from league 2. Disgraceful and a massive backwards step when he eventually went.

They sussed us out last time but nobody could stop it, we’ve done it before and we’ll do it again. Romp that division with VK and come up with a better prepared more settled side.

Getting promoted with 6 loan players is tough because you essentially have to rebuild a new team again, ask Forest. They spent far more than us and scraped survival.

I thought we’d do a lot better this year, will be the first to admit that, but I also knew that wed likely struggle. As you say, we conceded possession so many times last year and each time I knew we’d be punished in the prem.

Won’t be a popular opinion but I think we’ve hugely improved on last year but are still away off.

I don’t think Kompany is perfect. I think he’s made many mistakes. Arguably today the subs were the latest. But like you I want us to back him, for him to learn, and then for us to come back stronger.
