OTT reactions
Great point yes
Improved Trafford yes
But what's with all the reactions like we have won and survived?
Some people need to actually watch the match, apart from a 10 minute spell at the beginning it was backs to the wall against a much changed Brighton team with no effort from VK to go and win the game.
Yes we're all happy with a point but the happy clappers reaction to finally get a positive result is hilarious.
Another day today's result could have been 7-1

Just give it a rest bumba. Nobody is going over the top, but we have just secured an away point against a top half side. Something to be celebrated, grinch.

Re: OTT reactions
There was a spell at the beginning of the second half where we should have scored. Maybe even got a couple.
You should take your own advice and actually watch the match.

Re: OTT reactions
In games where we've played alright but didn't get anything, you've (and it's usually you) been quick to make the point that it's all about the results. Which is a very fair comment. Now we've put in a battling, backs to the wall performance to earn a point away from home, you're dropping in stuff like we could have lost 7-1. Yes, but we didn't lose 7-1. A big criticism of this team is that we lack bottle, we lack fight and passion and just fizzle out in games. I'm sure you've made those points. And again, fair cop in some of our games this season. But we've shown a bit today and people are rightly praising that. Nobody is saying we're safe, so god knows how you've come up with that one. Try backing the team a bit and showing some of the fight that we're beginning to show now.

Oh that's right, pleased you reminded us that we are not allowed to celebrate any form of success, we must remain in a constant state of misery. I'm happily clapping an away point at Brighton, anyone joining me?bumba wrote: ↑Sat Dec 09, 2023 6:51 pmGreat point yes

It’s more the manner of the point away to a very good side. They have the squad to make the changes.bumba wrote: ↑Sat Dec 09, 2023 6:51 pmGreat point yes

The players showing the grit to hold out where we would have capitulated badly earlier in the season is a tangible pointer that we’re learning and developing which is more important than the point in some ways.
Also hopefully a big boost for Traff, will have done him the world of good today.
Haven’t seen much OTT stuff.

Spot on there Bumba ,just like the Wolves match we played well for 20 mins then we second to the ball every time,Trafford definitely kept us in but his distribution put us under a hell of a lot of pressure,Vitinho was the best outfield player by miles ,Jay turned slower than double decker bus ,Ramsey an absolute lightweight,Kompany substitutions an absolute mystery,if we play like that against Toffees they’ll batter us ,too many with Claret tinted specs.bumba wrote: ↑Sat Dec 09, 2023 6:51 pmGreat point yes

Mitoma and the fit better players were rested for Marseille Thursday. There full backs were Milner and GrossSwizzlestick wrote: ↑Sat Dec 09, 2023 7:09 pmStruggling that much they could leave Mitoma on the bench. Probably had the same amount of injuries as us.
Re: OTT reactions
Not a mate of mine ,some fans just won’t accept that we were dreadful,if we were a league one team and getting a draw against Brighton I’d have said it was a plucky performance ,smell the coffee we aren’t good enough .

Why did Ferguson start then? Which other better players were rested? And yeah, those unknown players James Milner and Pascal Gross, both of whom would walk into our side. Hardly on the bones of their arse are they?

Westy and bumba.
They add entertainment to our few high points. Always good to see them upset llike watching Arteta's face when things don't go Arsenal's way.
Good to see us improving. Good to see players growing. Good to see moaners and Rovers fanatics upset.

Re: OTT reactions
What’s your point ?
Most of the Brighton players have been out injured for at least the last month - a few of em a lot longer.
They had Ferguson up front who is being talked about as a £100m signing and Pedro who cost £30m.
Of those players injured 2 or possibly 3 of them were regular starters before being injured.
Our injuries include our 2 best players this season.

What’s Taylor got to do with anything? We’re talking about Brighton and how they were apparently struggling to put a competent team out, which evidently isn’t the case.
